Waterproof metal detectors are great, but its also their weak point.....CTX, AT Pro, AT Gold, Mx Sport....they have all had problems leaking when they first came out.

If the place where you found paper money is in your hometown, be sure to recheck this area often. Learn the way the wind tends to blow. Me and some friends like scouting an empty Lo

As far as batteries. Pulse machines tend to be really battery draining. Back in the day the waterproof Fisher Impulse somehow got 100 hours on 8 AA batteries. Can't we apply old tech with todays internal rechargeable systems??

Sorry Lawrenzo, I was asking about what Dubious wrote above your comment. I agree....Tom's test results are worth the wait. Very complete and balanced. Thanks

So your saying..... the real tests are not revealed until After everyone has bought one....i.e. "rollout-period" ....mmmm......this could take awhile.

Kinda rare to find a "tester" that is free to say what they like or dislike about a particular model. Even prior to the internet, magazine Field-Tests became more of an advertisment. Now lots of Tube videos are selectable commercials. Dont really blame them..... I mean to get paid to metal detect or get free equipment (agreeing to only use their brand). Its getting more difficult to fin

Nice hardcover book. 1980 Moss pub. Lots of photos of CW bullets, tools, and big projectiles. This edition does have the supplement. Grey colored boards with silver lettering. Rare book price ranges from $75 and up to crazy prices ($1000). Not written in or weird smells. Does have slight shelf rubbing on edges......solid book, not wore out. For sale $65 shipped within USA. Thanks. Paypal friends

I personally love most Minelab products.......Sovereigns, Explorers, Etrac.....Never owned a CTX. I just wish they did better at the business end / customer service. I am so hoping the Nox succeeds. Lots more waterproof models since the AT Pro, but waterproof doesnt automatically mean works good in saltwater. I think people still like the Excal, but kinda heavy.....so maybe the Nox is the answe

Maybe, just maybe by 2019 one will have the whole Nox set-up. Whats the cost on all these accessories, batteries, ect..?? Kinda like......here's an cheap tablet.....now buy the services to run it. Except worse cause you have to wait soooo long for each puzzle piece and/or pay more than the sticker price. Huge gamble.

Still love the Advantage especially with the battery cartridge. You guys may talk me into keeping it. The audio is high tone, very crisp and tight on coins. I never had any problems with the 8" coil, but because of the outer cable cracking (currently taped up) wouldnt use it underwater.

I have a good Minelab Musketeer Advantage for sale. It comes with two coils. The original 8" dd coil and the 13" Ultimate coil...both with covers. The 13" coil is hard to find here in USA and costly to ship here. All works. The 8" coil works, but has tape all along cable as outer was cracking. AA battery cartridge (same as Sovereign GT) is good shape. Control box can easily

I dont currently have a Tesoro with GB adj. Perhaps it has to do with Tesoro silent search models (dont hear Threshold in Disc mode). Does this keep the ground noise at bay?? I might start a new thread asking others to purposely offset GB (negative) and see what the results are. I have had amazing results with the Nokta models. I dig zero iron and unmasks wonderfully....all at 50 Sensitivity. Al

Hey Ziggy am I correct that the Vista Gold Gain doesnt have a Disc adj going into the very low iron range? Does the Disc adj move the tone break when in two tone?? Thanks

Great video Ziggy. Lots of info. Sensitivity setting is an important point. When you are in heavy iron you wont get depth at high Sensitivity setting.... Only masking. Videos from Ziggy and Keith Southern (relics1864) have tons of info. As far as Minelab or Pulse....see author DetectorComparisons videos. Live digs, I like DirtFishing. Some videos have become advertisments so be careful not to jum

I've had two Vista models and numerous Minelab FBS and BBS models and they are all great....if used on specific sites. The Vista models have a wide range Disc in the lower level.....it forces one to dig every non-ferrous target and unmasks wonderfully, but it really needs a third tone or even a dual disc like the old Garrett Freedom III, to be practical. Yes I've dug good targets behind
