Turtle never produced a PI unit. The one's they did sell were made from the mid to late 80's
Search Scan Electronics had three water detectors for sale in 1992 or 1993. They were the
VLF 450, TR 550, and the PULSE 650. If this is the company I am thinking of, the reason
they didn't last long on the market was fear of being sued. The insides were either White's

That may have been the one I was looking at. It was advertised as being in great shape. It showed a pic of the control panel, and I noticed rust around the mode switch and the headphone jack........No thanks.

I like the physical design a lot. I think we are all going to be surprised at what this detector is capable of. One of the things I like about Nokta, is there are dealers now across the US instead of just one. YEA! Jeff

I just watched part 1 and enjoyed it. It's nice to watch a video and have the person in the video share a few things with you. Such as what controls are on that certain detector model, how they function, plus showing us your hunting style, your sweep speed, and then letting us hear each target and the recovery.
