You could be dealing with fill-in dirt. I feel (and this is my own personal opinion) if your finding 10" bottle caps, most likely this could of been filled in at one time from the town / city parks department or the parks department completed some form of construction work digging up the ground and when everything was placed back and smoothed out, the bottle caps just ended up deep. Found two in the same hole in a well beaten and left-for-dead park. No more than an 1 1/2 inches deep. How they were missed by others still baffles me.

Thank you Keith for your dedication and time. Inquiring minds.....lol. Amazing capabilities with the Turkish machines. Personally, I would love to see a R3 (two frequency) by adding 3khz for high conductors.

Keith,
Thank you for the video.
Soon as your right leg made a shadow on the area I saw the little "alien" face myself lol. Then seconds later you confirmed my suspicions with your caption. How about a video with DEEP mode scanning over some of the coins you have buried in your yard? Like you mention even if it reaches half that depth (in ground) it would still be reaching phenome

I am in agreement with you Tnsharpshooter. Not all that long ago I was hiking with one of my buddies and he walked right over $60.00 all folded up and lying on the muddy ground. He couldn't believe that he walked right passed it....he kept on uttering, "what the hell?" What to do with the money? $20.00 for pizza, $20.00 almost filled up his car and $20.00 in my pocket. In the

I see it as a healthy way of life with many benefits:
Exercise.
Reduce anxiety and stress. (unless a wild animal is trying to chew on your leg while detecting lol)
Keeps the mind busy.
Preserve the past.
A love for learning and researching history.
Teach younger generations with actual items found.
Feeling good about yourself when helping others who may have lost an item. (ex. ring)

I can openly admit when I screw up lol. As far as the stronger dollar, personally, I think it is a bunch of smoke and mirrors. Hope I am wrong but got a gut feelin'.... do not want to get off topic so I shall stop there. I wish I heard a rumor around minelab coming out with a new generation, lightweight sovereign built and setup like the xterra. Oh one can only wish....

I'll accept that bustin' lol you are right on. I suppose that $200 figure stuck in my head from the e-mail that I received from KC. I remember reading something to the effect of saving up to $200. It is a nice surprise to see some of the detectors coming down in price Now it makes buying even more tempting

The big detecting store in Florida (KC) dropped the price on the Xterra 705 $200.00. Now selling for $600.00. Wonder if Minelab is working on a new detector.....???
WAS $729 .00
NOW ONLY $ 600 .00

The company clearly has quite a few issues with the ears cracking / breaking and even admitted to the problem.... Like you, I was seriously considering investing into a Racer but not now.

This is exactly right possum. The manipulators are doing just that. So, so true. The ones that state our economy is becoming "brighter" and things are "looking up" are the same people buying in hoards. Hang on everyone this is going to get exciting!
