I sold mine on feebay last May. Early spring/summer seem to be the 'hot' times to sell. I had the 2016 version of the CTX with standard coil, 17'' coil, grey ghost underwater headphones, and about 9 months of warranty. I listed it for $1100 and it sold for $1925. Kinda funny because my original buy now was $1500. I didn't sell it because of the EQX though even though I ha

I would prefer to have a less expensive machine without earphones. I don't care what kind of adapter they use but they should provide an adapter connector that connects to all of the standard headphones. I enjoy using ear buds with my EQX600. The ability to cut heat with ear buds or wear a winter hat in the winter with them is awesome.
As far as waterproof - I need it. Too much humidity w

I'm waiting patiently. Glad they have been showing us some of the progress but really wish we had a release date, price, and final specs!

bounty hunter tracker IV. I paid maybe $60 for it on a sale, I think normal price was around $100. I easily found that much in clad on the dry beach over 2 months before I upgraded to the CZ21 because I wanted to detect the wet sand. Man that bounty hunter was great though. I think its a great entry level machine. Its cheap, light, easy to use, and just works. I allowed friends to use it when the

Since this is a beach machine, waterproof is a must. I think we should expect all machines to be waterproof up to 10ft n

On the wet sand I am digging everything that beeps. When I get a low # I get excited though it usually turns out to be a nail. On the dry sand its always a piece of foil. I don't trust the #s that much on this machine though...if it beeps I'm digging...I will guess what it is based on #/tone but I have been wrong a lot...especially with pennies ringing all over the place.

I have been digging in post hurricane florence beaches where I live over the last week or so. Tons and tons of clad. I can't even take a step without finding it. Nothing of value...yet. Having said that today I was out with my son and found a cool 10c coin from the Ukraine. I love finding these foreign coins even though they are practically worthless because they make a cool story. My son, w

Finally arrived at my destination in PA. Its currently headed right for Wilmington as a Category 4 so we had to take off. Wilmington is absolutely crazy right now. Stories of water and gas shortages are popping up on our local facebook pages. But its really crazy there now. Traffic is getting heavy in the evac zones...and yet I still have neighbors that are staying. Good luck to those who may nee

White's could of have a huge market several years back had they made a waterproof version of the TDI Pro...and even just kept the TDI Pro. This is definitely a step in the right direction for PI detectors...but many of us are holding out of the Manta.

Really love seeing PIs going towards beach hunters! Looks like a great machine. I always wanted a TDI Pro for certain areas of the beach and water. I am fine with my Nox for now and awaiting the Manta but if the manta never comes this could be on my list to get next spring.

Gotcha, I only see the prime $. Yes I got the white ones. I wanted the wire because I do take the machine in waist/chest high water and need a wired connection. I am also a little concerned about bluetooth on my head for so many hours so wired eases some of my concerns; I'm sure bluetooth is mostly safe but who knows. I don't mind bluetooth for a 30 min jog but for multiple hours per we

Yep I only beach hunt. No reason for me to have the 800. I use waterproof earbuds on mine so I can take it in the water. For the most part you don't need to adjust the default beach settings at all except I have my iron bias set to zero...at least on the US

Special places? Yep.
Could of been sanded in
Could of been searched
Could of been a bad spot
Could of been a bad tide
Could of been 20 other things...
Some days I find so much and other days in that same exact spot I don't even get a beep.

It's still not going to be comparable to the CTX. CTX uses two numbers. EQX just one. Minelab needs to extend the numbers on the N

I bought the screw in adapter and waterproof earbuds for a total of $20 on amazon. They are really loud. If you dive you don't want earbuds, otherwise, this is the cheapest option...also the best option in summer imo as earbuds are much lighter and keep you cooler.

Would love to see more tests like this. In my air tests with the nox I could not detect my wifes wedding band with any iron bias so my setting is zero, which gave me several inches. I am not sure I would see it in the wet sand at all.

Try them all and see what works for you! Different machines excel in various conditions. Nox is great for me on the beach - light and inexpensive compared to the competition. I do miss all metal of the CZ/Excal but I think they are all comparable depth wise. I was just glad I was able to sell off my more expensive machines for something that works in my environment. Now I'm eagerly awaiting

I live 1.5 hrs north of myrtle in wilmington nc. Good time of the year to hunt, its just super hot right now and we have been getting pounded with rain every day for the past few weeks. Water feels great 80-85 degrees.
I wouldn't worry about the plane, just do it. Safer than a car. I would assume you would not have problems bringing a detector on the plane.
