So being that there are only one hundred units available and production of these units are taking some time, is it safe to assume they are being hand built and hand tuned? Maybe the first limited run will be of a higher quality than the regular production run? I’ve seen this happen in other products.

Years do tend to produce wisdom and they definitely produce age. I only say this because older folks can have more experience. an eight year old is usually not as wise As a sixteen year old. This does not preclude a young man from being wiser than an old man if he seeks out wisdom and/or has more experience. The problem is there are only so many days in a year to gain experience.

I’m just thankful to be a dad. My two.year old and nine month old make me smile every time I see them. I do miss my dad though. He taught me a lot and was always ready to help me when I needed it growing up. He also served our country for twenty one years in the marines and for another twenty in civil service working on aircraft equipment. May the good Lord God bless all of you dads out there.

Maybe Whites thought that it was better to close than to send production to China. A lot can be said about Whites detectors and the technology they used but they can still find good targets on good sites.

I think you’ve been staring at your own reflection too much in that crystal ball of yours Calabash. You’ve kinda become narcissistic. I used to be one of your YouTube subs but became bored with the negativity. At first you said that you wanted to help people make good decisions on purchasing a detector but having watched you on YouTube and the forums I think you’re just here to stir the crap and

I owned a couple of Whites detectors back when I first got serious about the hobby. Soon after the people at Fisher research brought out the CZ line of detectors and I haven’t owned a Whites since. Come to think of it, that’s kind of like what’s happening now. The thing that I will always respect the Whites company for is their dedication to and promotion of the metal detecting hobby. In my opini

I don’t know how well it will separate gold and aluminum but what I do know is that gold and aluminum have different densities. So if you can concentrate on digging deeper targets then aluminum will become less of a problem.

It used to be that a few years ago palladium was the cheaper alternative precious metal for jewelry. If you’ve ever found some palladium jewelry and still have it around, it might be time to sell it. Currently palladium is close to $2600.00 an ounce. If you think that’s high, you should check out the price of another metal called rhodium.

Hey Calabash, for those dive videos in the low country I wouldn’t waste much time filming under water. For the viewer there really wasn’t much to see. If you watch Gigmaster’s videos of underwater hunts, he usually unveils his finds above surface and again at the end of the video. It makes the video much easier to watch.

I posted this Equinox 800 for sale here a few weeks ago and there seemed to be concern about the loose rod assembly so I sent the machine to Minelab to replace the rod assembly and waterproof check the control pod and also check the headphones. Minelab replaced the headphones, complete rod assembly and control pod which is what I would call amazing service! Anyway it's back up for sale. I us

I have a Minelab Equinox 800 with all included items in perfect working order along with a Whites medium hexscoop for sale. The detector is still under warranty and has never been submerged. The arm cuff foam is missing and the shaft is loose, both problems associated with early Equinoxes. If you send it to Minelab, both will be replaced under warranty. Asking 775.00 shipped for this ready to go

CZ's were always bad about sounding off on deep rusty iron with a good tone. That was the one characteristic I hated about CZs. One thing I'll say though is that if all I had was a CZ, I'd still feel confident that I could find some good stuff.

Thanks for the videos Calabash! Most of these guys here claim they dug this and that with this machine and that machine at some kind of guessed at depth from the good old days. I say where's your proof? Keep the comparison videos coming Calabash.
