I’d also like to add i noticed signal, depth and a performance boost when ground balance is at zero.
I’ve read in many places that when ground balanced... the Equinox can false more and chatter when ground balanced in mild soil which I have in Tennessee.
The deus does the same thing. When I GB on it it gets real touchy to coil movement and striking sticks, tall grass etc.

Today I learned something with the Equinox. I was hunting a ball field built in 1901 that had grass about 2 inches high and thick. Now we all want to hunt on a putting green (perfectly smooth short grass)
But that’s not possible.
Working a small area 15x15 for 3hours I was swinging the nox Etrac slow and listening. When I got a solid tone or high tone I started to concentrate or develop the

Hope your all doing well.
Today I went to my back yard in the newly built elevated play set for my kiddos. The soil that was brought in is heavy thick red clay. Deus bar reads 33-45% on “dirt bars” and equinox ground balance reads 76.
I went into all metal mode and found a clean area and dug a plug about 10 inches deep and placed the dime flat and covered it up.
Running the nox in max se

The struggle is real. Deep wheats and silver sound and read almost identical. I love digging wheats so it doesn’t bother me.... but I understand.
Only my trusty Etrac is accurate in low iron content down to 10 inches where I can call a penny from silver.

I did a video on my YouTube channel where the super tuned vaquero hit a 15 inch quarter!
Talk about shocked.
Taking it to my “deep site” (high sink rate even in clay/sand soil) all I dug see was big ole iron with the vaquero.
I tried 3 different vaqueros... just couldn’t do it. I sold it.

I hunt in park 2, multi, 50 tones, speed 5/6, and iron bias at 3. One thing I have noticed is that coins at a depth of 10-11 inches produce no depth reading and an occasional high tone.
Even if I get it one way it’s a high tone and vdi (28-35) high I dig. As NASA Tom has said you need to “scrub” the grass/soil to get maximum depth.
Iron is choppy and very jumpy normally when I have came across

I could care less about the polished video and theatrics. I watch the videos to learn. Take Keith Southerns videos...
Not flashy at all but hold a wealth of information about various machines.

Thanks NASA Tom for the info! I’ve been kicking around getting one due to my Garrett Carrot is useless beyond .75 inches from a target.
So I’ll upgrade soon!

This is excellent news! I appreciate the link posting, and your parts list. Mine is on its way out. I can charge all night and hunt for about 3 hours and it’s down to one bar.
I’ll be doing this soon!

Sorry to hear camera issues! I use what Detecting Mo and Bill (Dirtfishing) use... Kodak Play sport ZX5. I got mine on eBay for $20... works great with 11 inch magic arm! I went through 4 go pro knock offs.. all had TERRIBLE battery lifes, the ZX5 will last all day when I turn it off and on to record. I just posted a video on my really bad youtube channel. The quality isn't too bad I don

With all the Equinox talk lately I dusted off the deus today at a turn of the century baseball park.
I found a silver merc and a silver Washington quarter marking 20 silver FTY!

I’d like to add that the vacuum seems to be the lack of new, and “ground breaking” units.
Fisher-nada
Garrett -AT Max nothing ground breaking here though
Whites- MX7??? Nope
Tesoro: Mojave.. nothing new here
Teknetics-nada
Nokta-Is doing better than most.. cranking out some fine detectors.
When the XP deus came out was it sheer madness?
This isn’t to say that previous generation un

I believe in one of NASA Toms notes on the F75 he said the unit in disc of 6 and mono tone was the best for unmasking in a ferrous environment.
