Two Arms! Two arms! The British are coming!
Lol
I get it totally. But I’ve been hunting with the 800 for 3 solid weeks. It’s one fine detector.
It’s like if you drink Ushers every day.. and someone keeps raving how good Glenlivit 18 is..
Until you try it, you’ll never know how good it actually is.
Coming from the Etrac I can attest it’s abilites.
I’m hoping one day NASA-Tom ca

I know of 3... NASA Tom, Steve Herschbach and Andy Sabach.. now before I get railroaded.... experts meaning
Vast knowledge on metal detectors, are published and whom have respected opinions on technology.
So any others that publish material or info? I read all I can from these guys above and was looking for others.

I was jumping up and down like a kid when I saw the clump of gold!
One thing for sure.. when it hit 12 on the gold it hardly left every sweep.

I agree on all parts. I had a Fisher F70 for a while. Tried to go after Nickles and gold but wayyyyy to much trash for some reason.
From my 42 hours of use with the 800 model. Nickles hit, and stay...(12/13) Now Newer Nickles 2006 and up that are not corroded ring up ad 13 for some reason.
The gold ring I dug Friday? Solid 12. Thought I had a deep old nickle! Nope... when she popped out.. I s

Having never dug a single Gold target.... it was a slamming 12—5 inches deep, so I thought I had an old nickle! R

Never! To be honest before I got the Equinox all I would dig was trash thinking it was Nickles with my deus etc.
The Equinox hits them “Louder” or “harder” at depth. The V Nickel was 6 inches down, solid 12 or 13...... but it would stay 12—2 or 3 sweeps.

Ok.. before I get hate mail.. here me out! I know a lot of people are over the Equinox lovers, But heres my take on why its improving my finds.
And I can sum it up in one word..
Ratios!
My Nickel find rate has shot up 800% since getting this detector. It simply slams, nickel AND gold.......unlike any machine I've ever used. On top of that I pulled my oldest nickel to date.... a V ni

I must have missed that thread.
Every line of detectors has its fans... even bounty hunter. That’s what’s so great about this hobby.. variety!

Or is it my bum pin pointer?
So today I went to my favorite old school built in 1932. This site had a baseball field put in the back half (The back is a football field in total size or more)
I have been pulling Mercs, wheats, and other silver (6 total). Only the Etrac and Equinox has pulled them.
The 800 performed well today. I pulled a 1962 Rosie on edge near a lot of iron bits.
So I

All depends where you go. On soccer fields with people around I never bring anything but a smal Lesche and a screw driver.
If it’s a huge park and wooded areas I’ll take my Lesche small shovel... but never a big ole shovel.
One guy in my club who never hunted, brought s huge shovel to a park. I just quietly walked over and gave him my Lesche..
“Here you go, this is more work and but less noti

No machine loves bottle caps like the deus. I’ve drove my self nuts at first. Now I can tell freq shift etc.
The equinox 800 I’ve only dug a few screw and crown. No deep rusted ones. Any machine will hit them hard... some just do a better job at telling you to dig or not.
As stated.. you gotta dig them. One time with the deus I got s nice high tone they didn’t drop going to 4 kHz just to p

Ahh.. boasting and saying your bad ass it’s my type. If you like the videos good for you. I don’t watch them.
I learn a lot from guys like Kieth S, Bill Dirt Fishing etc. video quality and showmanship is for views not content.
I do watch Aquachigger.. but those guys are paid by Garrett. Would I accept money and funds from Garrett? Sure!
But it wouldn’t make me like their machines... just not

I just love doing it. I use to deer hunt, use to play a lot of golf. Now any chance I get to Metal Detect I go. Of course I love finding silver.. but really any coins and I always love finding Nickles.
I have been digging a lot more trash lately but to find a nickle? It’s something about it. I’m looking for my first buffalo, war and V nickle.
