Calabash if you are going to make comparison video's you need to be at least moderately proficient at running both machines, just sayin. Buy the way I really like your comparison video's.

I don't believe the DFX has that adjustment. Not positive though, I've only had it for about a month or so and I never had the manual. I have JimmySierra"s book and Jeff Foster's book.

Pertinent settings are as follows: TARGET VOLUME 56, AUDIO THRESHOLD 15, TONE (audio freq) 200, AUDIO DISC ON, SILENT SEARCH OFF, MIXED MODE OFF, AC SENS 75, DC SENS 30, RATCHET PINPOINTING OFF, SAT SPEED 5, TONE ID ON, VCO ON MODULATI

I agree that the DFX has pretty weak presets but those are for beginners just starting the hobby, I think the great thing about the DFX is it helps people understand how detectors do what they do. If you spend time with it and analyze the different settings and how they effect its performance you will begin to learn about sweep speeds, recovery speeds, ground filtering and many other facets of de

Good video, maybe a few people will see it and sell their DFX"s cheap and I can get a couple more of them. Great detectors in the right hands.

From what I have seen you have very wide boundaries Mr Calabash, I too have some video's I wish I had never made but I keep them up because they remind me that I don't know everything, and they keep me humble. I must say I do like watching your comparison video's, I like to get as much info as I can on detectors. Keep them coming I say. GL HH

A super tuned Vaquero can find you a lot of good stuff, that being said, I like using all of the afore mentioned machines, new and old. I haven't got to use the Anfibio yet but I will get one once they start hitting the used detector market. I have a few video's using Tesoro's on my youtube channel. It's been awhile since I used one. So many detectors and so little time. Tryin

Impressive depth for sure, but I think the Makro detectors are geared more for the relic hunter than a coinshooter. I have had a Red racer, Racer 2, Multi Kruzer and the problem I have had with them is they never really seem to lock onto a target long enough to give it a proper ID, Maybe it's the way they blend what they see in the ground but I find the TDI to be very jumpy. When I relic hun

Ever been to Walmart? You would be hard pressed to find anything American made there. Trump is trying to deal with the problem, China is fighting him every step of the way. Technology theft is a major problem these days. The stuff is cheaper so people buy it, the sad thing is a lot of domestic companies have to cut corners and put out sub standard products just to be able to compete, Chinese pro

That's one of the main reasons I make my video's, My father died relatively young and my kids never really knew him so I decided to make video's to leave behind in case the same happens to me. At least my grand kids will know what their grand pap looked like alive and what he did for fun.

I know a guy who has an old Explorer XS and thats pretty much all he has ever used, he knows it like the back of his hand and I get embarrassed every time we hunt in the same area because he always out finds me no matter what I am using. I think knowing your machine is the key no matter what it is. I agree with that.

Thats really good depth, how does it do in iron infested areas? I have been thinking about getting a CZ-3D. I have been playing around with a 1236X-2 lately and I have been having some success with it.

A couple of most accurate tid machines I have used are the G2+ and the F19, cudos to First Texas on those.I think FBS is in a class by itself though as far as target identification at depth, I agree with Arkansas.

When I had my Deus I just set the high conductor tone really high and everything else low so all I dug was the high squeaks. I didn't hardly pay attention to the tid because it didn't seem to be accurate beyond 5 or 6 inches. I put my reactivity at 3 so it was a pretty good but pretty expensive beep and dig in the trashy areas for me. One thing about it though, for me it hardly ever fa

An older Vaquero found me the most valuable piece of gold I have ever found to date, It was a 15 gram 14K mens ring with a big turquoise stone set in it. Got 400 bucks for that ring, the Vaquero paid for itself with one hole. I have had the Compadre, Silver Umax x2 , Vaquero x2, Tejon, Golden Umax, Outlaw, Mojove, Silver Sabre, Cutlass Umax, Amigo x2. I don't currently own one but I'm s

Well after reading all the previous posts I kind of hesitate to put in my 2 cents but here goes, I feel that any company that fails to innovate will fade away, I have used many Tesoro models and I can honestly say I have found more gold with them than all of the others I have used, I think there is still a place in the world of detecting for them, they are light and easy to understand how to use

The one I bought has the 10 inch coil on it, not sure how it will do in the trash and nails with the bigger coil, but I'm gonna find out.

I was afraid of that. The number on the bottom of the control box is S/N 12230254, can't read the rest of the label. Pretty sure the ones made in Los Banos say so.

Yeah I just pulled the trigger and bought one but I think it's one of the later made ones, just curious to know if there is much of a difference.
