Calabash Digger? I'm not a frequent flyer here but it's a great forum for info, And always Looked forward to Calabash for a good laugh..Hope he didn't get himself locked up at that January 6th party, thought I saw someone wearing a Garrett hat in that crowd, maybe he was under cover at that party.

Makro makes great machines, and imo has surpassed all brands in a short window of time. I could care less about multi frequency, in my dirt there's no advantage..The simplex alone I'm sure has dropped sales from all other brands. I can't speak for anyone else but I'm sure the simplex in my soil will not only find anything other machines will, but find alot that most won't.

Questions like this will always get votes for what people feel is they're best or favorite machine..If I threw my hat in the ring it would be the F75 for coins and the Garrett at pro for gold rings..I haven't found anything that beats those two for the specific types of hunting I mentioned.. Each does a great job..I haven't come across a machine that can do both better

I recently got a Whites Quantum XT and I like it. I like anything simple, easier the better for me.
But it has a stock concentric coil, and I prefer DD coils. I know the machine is older, but coil tech has come along way with aftermarket coils. So,has anyone used a DD coil with one of these machines, and if so where do I get one? I'd really prefer a sharpshooter sized coil or similar. The mac

Lots of people like the equinox, and I don't dislike it, but for me it's not always my first pick.
For me the equinox's strength is also it's biggest downfall, same as the fbs which I really like...For all that minelabs multi frequency brings to the table it also likes to false on iron,FBS and Multi IQ.
I know people say to check iffy tatgets in this mode,or that frequ

Best detector for me is easy, F75.. It's my favorite machine , most productive for me, and my pick for myself.
I'm not sure if this thread is about what everyone thinks is the best for everyone or what guys posting think is best for themselves?
As for what dealers say,of course they'd say a $950 machine is the best, and everyone should get it.Cant blame a guy for earning a buck

I agree with you Kevin, the equinox is ok and has it's place but the f75 just excells better in my hunting trips..I think the f75 is still the best machine produced today

I was discing out a nickel right before I sold that unit to scott, and the disc worked on the ws5.. I was waving the nickel in front of the coil cause I wanted to see wherea nickel would disc out,,,,when it did disc out I lowered the disc a few numbers so it allowed the nickel back in. So the disc did work on accepting and rejecting nickels.

Junior 88,that was my machine as you know
.Both coils and headphones were paired with the remote, and I've used it quite a bit so all is on the same 5.21 version.. pulltabs have always rang up high on every deus I had,the deeper they were the worse it was. F19 also rang pulltab up as coins when they're deep.. but I ran that lite version too when I sold the remote, and the disc did work
