I just got an Equinox 600 about 2 weeks ago. I am a little disappointed by all the hype that I have seen. It's a good machine and fun to use, but I have found nothing to say it's a big step forward in detecting. I live in a house built in 1900 that was built on a lot that a house burned down on before that. I have found nothing in this yard that is loaded with iron missed by my other ma

I used a CZ5 for years. It worked smooth and deep on the beach, but lost sensitivity to small gold when in salt mode. When I found that out, I switched to a Minelab Sovereign for beach hunting.

Trying to survive on hype and not results never ends good. Seems like the last 20 years, they tried to survive on the name only. When I first started hunting and bought a Bounty Hunter Land Ranger, the guy I hunted with had a XLT. I was finding coins in his tracks. That's a fact.

I can't believe I never noticed it in more than 2 years using it and never saw anyone post about it. As strong as the pinpoint is, I can't wait to try it on deep iffy signals.

I just noticed for the first time, that my F75LTD IDs while pinpointing if you watch the icons on top of the screen. It ID's targets very close to each other with ease.

I just got a 540 for my wife and tried it yesterday in our yard. House built in 1900. It does false on some deep iron, especially old nails with larger heads om them. They don't repeat in the same spot every pass like a good target, but will definitely slow you down checking high tone hits. Changing modes didn't make much difference. Cutting Sens down helps some, but depth falls bad if

I have a 540 coming for my wife. She has an AT Max now, but I plan on starting beach hunting some and know the AT won't work very good there. I use my Explorer XS when I go.

It's oblivious who the people are that get gain from posting videos and posts on sites. It's easy to go to for sale sites and see what people are trying to recover their funds for too.

How does these new machines unmask better? Speed? My old F75 can beep faster over targets than I can swing it. If you are hunting trash and moving slow, how does being faster than that help? I can see how a sharper coil pattern with depth could help, but speed moving slow on a machine that can hit multiple targets at a very fast speed don't make sense.

Minelab has always had some good electronics, but the hardware sucks. Coil wires falling apart, coils splitting open, and buttons failing. Both my Minelabs now have Nel coils because of the short life of the stock coils.

I have a 20+ year old machine I kept just because it can find targets inches deep in pure black sand. Even my FBS and BBS machines couldn't do that. Other than that special feature, it's just a average machine.

I was turned from the Deus for IDing all deep targets with a 99 ID. I uses a fast balanced machine that can cover lots of ground fast because I hunt big farms most of the time. A machine that is quiet and goes deeper fast than slow. If I posted videos of my hunts or opinions, I wouldn't disable comments. lol

Nothing about it is a fact in every situation or area. I don't hear nothing about the Equinox being better than the great Explorer or the Simplex being better than the Multi Kruzer. I have both of them and 8 more.

I know what machine I use the most and the one I have the most confidence in, but I use more than one. I won't push my opinion on nobody. I answer some questions about the machines I use when asked. I see no reason for the bashing. I don't use an AT but I have used one and know it could find almost everything I see dug in videos. I chose the detector I use for the type of hunting I do m

I've got 10 Metal Detectors right now. Some 20 years old and 3 Are Garrett's. AT Max is one of them. I rarely ever find anything using any one of them that I think to myself, None of my other machines could have hit. Most of what I see found in videos would have been easily found with any of them. I have opinions on what works best for me depending on where I will hunt,{fields, yards,or

I hunt 100s of fields in Eastern NC, and don't believe that they really find that much at all. I hunted many 1700s sites that have never been hunted and many don't even hold one old coin. Lot's of flat buttons and other relics. I believe the fields they hunt are planted. The old British coins they find are crazy. I have only seen a very few in over 20 years of hunting here. Can

People say the F75 is old because they updated it and still called it a F75. They added se, ltd, and +. The LTD and + are the same other than color from what I have heard, but they are not the same as the original F75. I think it was an error to keep F75 in the name because I see posts about how bad they are in EMI and chatter. They are talking about the old one. The new one is quiet and has more

The ltd versions have more options and are quiet when no targets are hit. Depth is mixed opinions. I like the DST LTD versions better. I don't like false signals and chatter.

The DST versions my loose a little depth in tests, but I have a Multi Kruzer that in tests seems to be as deep as my F75LTD. In real hunting, the Kruzer doesn't for me find as many deep targets because of the weak sounds of deep targets gets lost in the chatter. A quiet machine is easy to hear a deep ping.

The F75LTD is quiet until it hits a target and deeper than my CZ5. Way faster separation too. The CZ kills the F75 on salt beaches though.
