Maybe that battery box is a flotation device to keep the detector afloat if it is dropped in the water... well at least the rear end will bob on the surface.

I just read it weighs 5 pounds 3 ounces! That ruins it. Minelab and their bloated detectors.
The website says "You'll be blown away" Well I for one am blown away by this pig's weight.

If it is wireless... at least the coil I consider that a minus. If the technology is anything like the Deus the price of optional coils is ridiculous.

In an earlier post I asked:
The Blisstool sure seems to have superior depth. But I for one will have to pass on it. The parks, schools, yards, etc that I hunt have way too much aluminum trash.
As I understand there is no way to discriminate these out with the Blisstool.
barryny replied:
That is correct Lipservice - the Blisstool is NOT for you. As a matter of fact the website for the USA

I recently picked up a Sunray FZ-12 for my Tom validated 1021 CZ-3D. I have been using it on a 100 year old golf course that has been changed to a city park (golf course closed).
I also have a 5" and 10.5" Fisher coils. The 10.5" coil got a lot of use in there so far and it works well. One of the challanges there is that relandscaping has been done over the years.

I had posted looking for a FZ-12 (which I found now) and got a reply from Mr Kryptonite who will be selling several CZ coils. Sounds like he has a couple very rare ones including a FZ-12 for sale shortly.

My 1021 CZ-3D and my son's FT CZ-3D (both validated by Tom) air test like the one in that video. But in the ground... where we both do all of our detecting... is a different story.

WOW! I'm impressed to say the least.
That is almost DOUBLE the depth my Tom tuned 1021 CZ-3D (8" coil) will do on a dime in my midwest soil.

Funny thing you should jump in here Dan. When I Googled FZ-12 I found one of your old posts about the FZ-12 at Finds.
Also found other posts about the Sunray being almost exactly the same weight as the Fisher 10.5"... something about
the Sunrays using a lightweigt epoxy. I also read the FZ-12 is deeper than the Fisher 10.5" in more than one place. As
it should be... it is bigger. I

Del... I surely missed the boat on the FZ-12s myself. my first Fisher was a 552D in 1978 but have owned several CZ series detectors since that one.
Had several 10.5" Fisher loops but never quite wanted to splurge for a FZ-12 cuz they have always been pricey. So the search continues

Dan, sorry to hear about that
I will be turning 65 later this year. Don't know about you but it seems surreal being this age. My mind still thinks like I am about 30 but the old body can't cash the check
my mind writes! I do a lot of detecting with my 30 year old son. He is like the Energizer bunny! He goes and goes and goes. Digs every foil signal looking for that gold.
As for me I

I contacted Ralph.
"We have not had them in stock for years. Sorry."
Ralph (Sun Ray)
So finding a FZ-12 is like seeing a unicorn or winning the mega-millions!
You guys are killin' me I know there's a FZ-12 being hoarded out there somewhere...

I think it was about 1978. Fisher was coming out with it's new latest and greatest... A VLF!!!! And it had a TR discriminate. And all the hype!
The Fisher 552D. Man, I had to be the first. So the big dealer back then was that Ke******** mail order place in Florida. You know who I mean.
So it had a release date and I sent a money order to them. Delay after delay. They had me on the hook! Ab
