Anyone know about filters and how they effect a metal detector. The deus uses a 2 filter on one program and the claim is it makes the program deeper. Companies don't tell us that info or what goes into their programing for a preset even though you can change some of the setting.

I can tell you that the racer is a great machine mine could hunt right along with my deus and find the same targets. It also is a great backup machine. I sold mine to my friend Digger and he found three silver coins with me starting at the dates of 1828, 1834. and 1842. Last week he found a ten dollar gold coin his first. He loves that machine and can hunt with anyone with any machine. It is all

On the impact what makes the deep program so deep. Is it using 2 filters.? I read on the deus on one program they do use 2 filters and it is a deep program How do programmers make programs deeper than others? I know we can make a few changes on both the deus and impact. And I know that disc can change depth. But when you have a number of different programs on the machines and users will say th

I like that he is keeping the Impact and Deus both great machines in the right hands. And Tom, I think loved the impact and that is rare? Impact in all metal is a killer machine wish they would add iron vol to that program...

I never notch out and I have had iron hits sound great, read deep and some turn out to be axe heads, picks, spades, is it worth it to dig iron? Yes! I have dug fronts to old stoves with the company name on it and they are KEEPERS. Part of hunting is digging and if you come home with a few keepers you are doing great. I love sites that are hit hard but they missed some targets that were mixed in w

I think the X35 has a high enough freq to make a killing in iron for relics when a lot of relic hunters are using 15-19. Now I think if you are a nugget hunter that wants to do some relic hunting then the HF coil should serve you well. Also I think the HF may do really good for beach hunting for micro jewelry. We all have different ground and we all program our deus with what we think works. And

She said she wanted to hear what we wanted...So lets not abandon the Impact just yet. Show us you do care. I think a lot of us want that and please don't offer it as a software update on your new machines and not the impact. The impact is not that old and is one of your best machines in the line if one knows how to use it!

Tom will have to test it even though his ground is not like ours in the gold country. Be interesting to see other companies trying to figure out to move on to a newer idea.

Interesting post..I'm going to be using the Deus 9" X35 coil at a freq of 28. You have to wonder if the lower freq limits the Kruzer in iron. I know a lot of relic hunters using a higher freq and doing really great in iron sites. Plus on one program on the Deus you have two filters and when you customize that program I would like to see if it can challenge the 800. You also have a new r

Why would you need a longer shaft, you're like 5'2", perhaps you meant to ask for a shorter shaft eh? I said it was for a friend not for me?

We all have different soils I would make a program using the deep program..it uses two filters and that is deadly in iron. Would use less sens maybe down to low 80s and maybe the 2.5 recovery, power on maybe 1-2 silencer -1 there are a lot of small changes that make a big difference on each coil and freq.

Very good video lots on info that makes sense. I have the X35 coil and pin pointer coming from deus and will use the 27 freq for some tough iron areas. I also really like the impacts all metal..the gen mode. Most don't use it but it is the best all metal I have used in 18 years with the three coils I use. Don't think their new machine is a big deal but if you water hunt then yeah you g
