Thanks for your reply Gman. This happens when my senitivity is alreay at 99. If I can run Dp mode at the location without EMI interference, I will, but for reasons of my example here, let's say that I am in Sens 99, Disc 1, Notch 1 (will notch even GO down to zero?), Tones @2F Mode: DE Successfully Groung Grabbed at 59 after repeated attempts just to make sure. Let me ask a question concerning using all -metal mode as a deep coinseeker in a sholl plyground that has been picked to death. This school has been around since before the Civil War and Gen Grant even commandeered the school as a hospital after Shiloh's battle. My goal is to target the deep objects while disregarding the top 3 to 4 inch that has been picked to death. What do I listen for aby Kevin B - Thomas Dankowski Metal Detecting Forum
I noticed today while hunting in a trashy area that I cannot hunt with 3H or 3 or 4 tones without excessive falsing!! And this is with absolutely NO emi issue. I was hunting in a disc of 3 and a sensitivity of 99 in DE mode. It would start the EMI chatter in DP mode. But in 2F tones it wouldn't false. But if I clicked it up to 3 or 3H I would hear an internal hun or threshold commence. Thenby Kevin B - Thomas Dankowski Metal Detecting Forum
Okay Gman. I will do that. Today, wsell, in a couple of hours, I have a lady coming to day-sit with Momma so that I can go to an old homesite that really SHOULD produce a silver coin or two. Of course, like every other place I have, it is blanketed with square nails and other iron junk , such as the points of old hoprse drawn hay mowers. Horseshoes. Etc. But I will perform that experiment whenby Kevin B - Thomas Dankowski Metal Detecting Forum

It was included in the literature that came inside the F75SE carton!!! A question: when you say MONOTONE do you mean 1 or 1F ??????? I plan on using this setting real soon. Thanks. kevinby Kevin B - Thomas Dankowski Metal Detecting Forum
I tried the NasaTom technique with great results. I then went to my test garden with the settings all in default mode, and was amazed that even my deepest target (a mercury dime) at 9 inches was detected. The defauly sensitvity is 60!!! Man, I am happy with this unit. It's not near as chattery as my last F75SE even at higher sensitivity. It is SOME, but not as much as my last one. Yes i did and thanks. I am going to detect in my yard today, and an old homeplace in town, if my aunt will come by and sit with Momma. I am carring a notepad to jot down questions. I always forget the questions if I don't right them down right when they occur in my mind. I look forward to the phone session. I want to be properly prepared. For some reason, I cannot ground balance my machine until it gets quiet when pumping up and down. I have yet to ground balance this machine to where the noise fades away. It either gets louder as I approach the ground, or as I pump away from the gound, but never quiet. Other than that, the machine seems to be working fine. Or any machine really. In the places that I hunt, I cannot find a single patch of ground without some metal. When I pump the coil of my F75SE it never quietens down but continues to make a louded hum as I approach the ground with each pump. And it seems that it is around 50 or thereabouts. Is there a number that I can manually ground balance that will be close. This question will surely reveal juby Kevin B - Thomas Dankowski Metal Detecting Forum
Well, I got my F75SE unboxed and put together with 11 inch coil and headed to a nail infested old homeplace out in the country that I had already scanned with the AT Pro. Found several good keepers including two wheaties, and a Herbert Hoover Engineer token. Also, an old boot heel tap. A couple of harmornica reeds. I'm hitting it with the 5 inch coil tomorrow. I have high hopes. The at proby Kevin B - Thomas Dankowski Metal Detecting Forum
No problem. I'm not worried about the hi-jack. In fact I will hi jack my own thread and say something about the E Trac. I had one for three months. In all the sites that I tried to hunt with it, I found very little. My sites are so full of square nails that, even in two tone ferrous, I could here the machine go silent for moment, until I quit swinging the coil. I learned to swing it SLOW toby Kevin B - Thomas Dankowski Metal Detecting Forum
Thanks to the guys who replied to my topic. I'll say one more thing before the thread gets sidetracked to another subject. I remember on my last F75SE that it was exceptionally deep with the 5 inch coil. And in the places I hunt, where tagets are 3 to 6 inches and mingled with alot of iron nails and other iron objects, the 5 in coiled F75 should REALLY bring new life to these area that I hunby Kevin B - Thomas Dankowski Metal Detecting Forum
This is my second one. I had one last spring. I wasn't really impressed with that one. I am presently using a Garrett AT Pro. Also my second one of these and I will say that THIS AT Pro, in my test garden, is a much deeper unit then my first AT Pro. I am hoping that I accidentally get a hot F75SE. My test garden is waitin on it. My AT pro hits soundly on a barber quarter at 8 inches, a Meby Kevin B - Thomas Dankowski Metal Detecting Forum
VERY good video Steve!!! I could sit and watch hours of you detecting and digging those old campsites. I live in Savannah TN which is 9 miles from Shiloh. Grant and the Union army occupied this town before and after the battle of Shiloh. I have stumbled across a few campsites here in town. It added a new dimension to my detecting obsession. I made the dreadful mistake of selling my G2 a couple of weeks ago. I tried making an Omega 8000 fill the G2's shoes. I like the Omega. It's a capable machine. But I missed my G2 so much that I called Bart and ordered a new one. Taking it out to an an old steamboat landing on the Tennessee river early in the morning. Okay, thanks TerraDigger. I'll give them a call Monday.by Kevin B - Thomas Dankowski Metal Detecting Forum
I just read a post by TerraDigger where he said he talked to John Gardiner of First Texas and that John gave him the "normal parameter info" using a U.S. dime when air testing for depth. He failed to mention what the normal parameter was. Does anyone know the depth that the T2 LTD should air test a dime when functioning properly? Seems like I might have read that it was 12 inches fby Kevin B - Thomas Dankowski Metal Detecting Forum
