Equinox and Deus/Orx have pushed it past the old detector. When I see a good deal on an older detector that I really liked and I want to get it. I don't because of the new detectors I have.by Rick, N. MI - Thomas Dankowski Metal Detecting Forum
I think a lot of water hunters are looking to replace there Equinox. Mine has been used for 3 years in lakes and is time for a replacement.by Rick, N. MI - Thomas Dankowski Metal Detecting Forum
Hopefully it's being replaced. I hunted a lot with a CZ5. I liked that needle display. It found me a lot of IH's.by Rick, N. MI - Thomas Dankowski Metal Detecting Forum
A good thing with a wireless coil is it's easy to waterproof the controller. The bad part is you have to run a wire close to the controller. I've watched videos of some diving with it. I've detected in the water with my Xp Orx.by Rick, N. MI - Thomas Dankowski Metal Detecting Forum
You could also look at Garrett Apex. It's smf and has ground balance.by Rick, N. MI - Thomas Dankowski Metal Detecting Forum
Nice hunt. I liked the video. Always good finding IH's.by Rick, N. MI - Thomas Dankowski Metal Detecting Forum

T2/F75, Xp Orx w/ hf coil great detectors. Tesoro w/ concentric coils if you find one. Easy to use, great relic & coin hunters. These light and easy to use detectors.by Rick, N. MI - Thomas Dankowski Metal Detecting Forum

It has to be new technology. Able to categorize gold from foil/aluminum. See target thru iron with no masking. The % we are getting out of iron right now is very low.by Rick, N. MI - Thomas Dankowski Metal Detecting Forum
Tarsacci. I don't have one but I've watched videos of it running silent in iron. It's turning out to be a great detector in iron. I heard a rumor a smaller coil will be coming.by Rick, N. MI - Thomas Dankowski Metal Detecting Forum
I also liked the Nokta Fors Relic in iron. I didn't have any falsing with it. The 5" coil was great in iron. I wish it was still made today.by Rick, N. MI - Thomas Dankowski Metal Detecting Forum
Deeptech w/ Super 6 6x8 coil is amazing in iron and the detector runs quiet thru the iron. No false hits and then its gone. A little negative ground balance increases depth. Tesoro Tejon/Vaquaro w/ 8" or 8x9 concentric is great in iron. A little noisy but no falsing. With these a negative ground balance is good too. Deus/Orx also a top detector in iron. I don't know of any betby Rick, N. MI - Thomas Dankowski Metal Detecting Forum
He did say it will sweep thru the water easily so that could mean a new waterproof vlf detector coming.by Rick, N. MI - Thomas Dankowski Metal Detecting Forum
This is an old photo. Only a hand full of people on the beach today. And that many in water and most were kids.by Rick, N. MI - Thomas Dankowski Metal Detecting Forum
A beautiful spot too.by Rick, N. MI - Thomas Dankowski Metal Detecting Forum
Used the Equinox 800. No coins. Junk earring. My best find is the Disney Pixar car lol. This is the way it is in northern Michigan. Occasionally get gold. I'm going to a different lake tomorrow. I think the id is 1. Probaby tiny pieces of foil that float away. I have a screen in my scoop to catch earrings so I do catch some foil. Foil floats away to easy.by Rick, N. MI - Thomas Dankowski Metal Detecting Forum
When I'm in a lake I get quite a few signals and when I dig them there gone. Are these iron? I didn't look at the id and I haven't put it in all metal. I go around the target and it hits all around. I'll try all metal next time out. Settings Park 2, 2 tone, tone break 0, recovery 4, iron mask f2 0, sensitivity 23.by Rick, N. MI - Thomas Dankowski Metal Detecting Forum
