Definitely an incredible find! I agree Paul. A lot of detectors won't hit the iron. I enjoy digging the iron relics. I have 3 detectors than can hit the iron good.

Stunning! I'd love to see it after restoration........ IF he intends to have it professionally restored.

Very nice. It almost always pays to dig some big iron on an old site.

Hello David, I retired three years ago, and right after my mom had a stroke. Sold my home and moved into hers to care for her 24/7, been her caregiver over three years now.

Moms top priority, I been updating moms home. Added rooftop NEM 2.0 grid solar tied to the grid three years ago, and recently added a Solar ground mount off grid solar system as well so if grid goes down the off grid takes over. And even added a Hybrid AC/Heat Mini-Split that operates off Solar panels during the day and both off grid and tied grid during the night, Also eliminated gas appliances and replaced them with electric. Now, No more gas or electric bills solar eliminated both.

I'm doing everything possible to keep mom safe and comfortable in case grid goes down for long periods.Been preppering, for what's to come. It's going to be ugly, hope many here see the signs and prepp. And those that can invest as much as you can to Metals, Silver and gold of course. Silver is still cheap, avoid paper get physical.

For now, my metal detecting days are over. Still have all the metal detecting equipment, I am going to give a good friend my GPX 5000 soon as he can use it. He's big on gold nugget hunting, and a famous detectorious back in the seventies and eighties in the magazines.

Good to see you're still out there enjoying the hobby David, one of the greatest hobbies on the planet. God bless!

Good job David, helping your mother in law daily especially with her age of 92. Elderly are overwhelmed, not just with health issues but keeping important matters current. Health/home/auto Insurances etc, doctor's appointments, prescriptions, social security information and much more. Many elderly folks have no one, they need help.

Sadly, Those that do have family but some of these family members are not comminting themselves to help elderly love ones. Leaving the pressure on the shoulders of an over worked love one caring for their elderly parent, family caregivers need help as well and a break once in a while would be nice but unfortunately many caregivers are working themselves ragged.

My hats off to you and all those helping elderly love ones, God bless you!
