It's starting to warm here in N. Michigan. To cold for me to go out today.
I'm liking the Manticore right away. I've been hunting an old house site that I've hunted in the past using the M8 coil.
I've had the Sensitivity up to 30 in my mild ground and not much emi where I'm located.
I like the 2d display. The iron targets were a non ferrous id and the 2d screen was on the non ferrous line with long pattern so I knew it was iron. I dug a few small brass targets I didn't show.
I am enjoying digging the iron relics. I'll be hunting a longer beach and water on Lake Michigan quite a bit this summer. It's a State Park.
This is what I found so far. Just getting started detecting. It's been a long, cold winter.
I don't know what the hook was used for. I've found 2 of them. One I found a 2 miles from a fort in Mackinaw City.
Tom, I've been out on 3 short hunts with the Manticore

Hey Rick......... they all look like implements from the 1800's. Nice saves!
(Almost looks like Civil War J-Hooks).
Were there any non-ferrous items found...........worthy of mention?

Not yet. It's a tough spot to find anything good. I'm sure I find some good stuff.
