Here’s gent using M9 Coil. He’s not a BSer either. He doesn’t say in this post which coil he is using. He said in another thread to a gent. See below the first link.

Reitteration worthiness ..... via real-World performance/results =
Site: 1906 church (Florida inert dirt). It's a 16' X 60' strip of dirt....available to be detected. Fairly trashy with nails & aluminum trash.
Last hunted by me: 2008 with Fisher F75 LTD.
Status: Zero coins remaining to be found.
Again..... here is what different coil sizes can do:
Manticore. All Terrain - High Conductors.
May 03, 2026 = M8 coil....... found 7 coins.
May 09, 2026 = M11 coil..... found 7 more coins.
May 14, 2026 = M9 coil...... found 7 more additional coins.
Never ceases to amaze me how different-sized coils...... will 'light-up' different targets.
If only to have a M12 coil (with a 12" X 8" elliptical coil config).
I speculate that approx 85 coins remain in this particular (16' X 60') parcel of dirt. Most fail detection....due to MASKING. Some fail detection....due to TOO DEEP.

Mr. Dankovski... how many coins did the Fisher F75 find in this same spot before?

EL NINO........ That is a very VALID (value/data-added) question! The F75 LTD (with 7-11 coil) found 21 coins.......in 4 hunts. (17 coins on the very first hunt. Then..... 4 more coins, total ..... with/on the next 3 hunts).

Thank you for this information,, Mr. Dankowki..,,
The fact that the F75 with a 7x11" coil found a total of 21 coins,,, and then the Manticore on 3 coils.. M11.M9, and M8 found a total of 21 coins..is an excellent result... and also speaks about how important it is to have at least 3 different sized coils for the detector you are using.../which I very much agree with and not only testing but also practical results point to this fact.../
A coil of size 8x12.." may have separation-depth properties similar to the M9 coil..but the length of this coil will allow you to pass the terrain really faster,,,and the clearly elliptical shape of the coil can unmask new targets....plus it allows for really good detection in conductive terrain..
I personally use a 9x11" coil on another detector brand with excellent results.., both in detection depth and in unmasking..

The F75 is a phenomenal detector..... in its own right; yet, this resultant certainly excentuates multi-frequency application and technological advancements.

This is exactly the type of information/data that we need on this form. I also have a small 30‘ x 30‘ site similar to Tom’s church site. It is loaded with nails iron and trash debris of all sizes. It is loaded with zinc and clad coins, mixed with all this iron and debris. I have pounded on it a lot digging every single coin signal also big debris to find masked coins and targets. I have used all sorts of Coil sizes and different machines of old technology to the newest technology. The last three hunts were the most interesting first I used the CTX with the 6 inch coil, digging only nickel tones and copper penny and above and ended up with 34 coins, next I use the manticore with the M8 coil and also only dug nickel tones and copper penny and above and ended up with 48 coins, lastly I used the fisher 1236X2 with the 8 inch concentric coil, set it on nail reject and dug every clean hit I ended up with 50 coins a little less than half of the coins were zinc pennies, and about the same amount of quarters as the other hunts with CTX and Manticore. Just another side note of how coil sizes see into the ground or site differently after the M8 hunt with manticore I put on the M11 coil on at end to hunt and just cruise the site without digging signals and it lit the site up again with desirable coin tones all over again. This site has blown my mind on how masking takes place and masking of undesirable targets with good targets can or should be dug in a top producing site. Of course you’ve gotta always remember. The targets have to be in the ground in the first place for the machine to hit on them. Sometimes we forget some places don’t have things in the ground that we’re hunting.

There is a TON of this information...... on the old forum. (I believe) it is still accessable through the link(s) ....on the first few pages ....of this exact thread.
What 'triggered' me to make this post.....was............. I had found 7 coins..... then 7 more coins........ then yet, 7 MORE coins. 7, 7, 7
What is NOT mentioned; yet, was a absolute reality....was........ there were plenty of OTHER high-tones (coin tones) that were not coins ......... but could VERY WELL HAVE been coins........... AND............ the fact that no other detector/configuration........could/would have found them. Needless to say: Startle-Factor!
A couple of years ago........ in Sanford, Florida......... at a 1911 school.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,., I decided to COMPLETELY REMOVE every single (including; tiny) piece of metal out of the ground........ at a fairly 'prime' location....... on the school property.
Conclusion/End-resultant: 97% of the coins in the ground...were (mostly) masked......or: too deep. This is to say: ALL of yesteryear and current technology detectors..... were only able to detect 3% of the coins in the ground. ((( I used Manticore Prospecting Mode-1 to perform this metallic sanitization......along with N52-strength Rare Earth magnets ))).
Side note/conclusion = There was a coin....every 13". (Most were only 9" or 10" deep)!
