Sad news..Dave Johnson from Fisher metal detectors passed away.

I posted on his time-line (at FTP) a few days ago. VERY sad!!! Major icon!!!! I believe Dave was born in 1946

Dave made great strides in the world of detection technology, and designed some truly excellent US detectors.

At one point in time....... (most folks don't know this)........ Dave had his hands on 70% of the engineering-design...of all the metal detectors around the world.
(George Payne is way-up-there also).

Gene Scullion sent me a message relating to Dave's passing and it was a shock to me. What a legion. In years past we had several correspondences relating to ground minerals and "hot rock". He was very interested in some of my old school sites where they had discarded the waste from the coal fired furnaces. He will be missed.
