Someone recently sent me these pictures of what appears to be the new Minelab M5 coil for the Minelab Manticore.
What makes this particularly intriguing is that the person who shared them with me is not someone who usually spreads rumours or tries to create hype. Quite the opposite, actually.
And that got me thinking...
The design certainly looks interesting, but are we looking at something that might actually reach the market, or just another prototype that will never see the light of day?
Of course, these days you never really know. With AI-generated images becoming so convincing, this could just as easily be another clever creation that has nothing to do with a real product. I certainly can't rule that out.
So, what's really going on here?
Is the M5 actually going to be released? Is someone already testing it? Could there be an official announcement coming? Or are we simply looking at some very convincing AI-generated pictures?
I'm sure a few people around here know considerably more than they're saying...
And if this coil really is in development, I suspect quite a few Manticore users would be VERY interested.
Come on, guys. Somebody must know something!
Any clues, rumours, inside information or educated guesses?
