Fairly light to swing hip or chest mounted but still very cumbersome having it attached to your body. Fine for water hunting but not a good set up for hunting the wet sand. The headphones suck and you can't chang

I've been asking for a modern CZ wet sand machine for close to 20 years. I even sent FT an email suggesting it.
The CZ is still an awesome platform that would easily compete with today's top detectors. Beats me why they would pass that up.

My first old coin was with a White's Silver Eagle back in 1997. It was an 1864 Indian. Many more firsts came after with that machine. First Large Cent. First Standing Liberty, etc.

I would like the hear that too. The phrase makes no sense to me. Why would we want Zero Target Separation?

I used the Trond Wireless on my Tarsacci too and it worked great. You just plug the transmitter into the pigtail where your headphones plug in. Any Bluetooth headphones or earbuds will pair with it. The Trond V4.2 headphones work well for detecting.

Am I the only beach hunter here who doesn't need this detector to be waterproof? I don't need M-8 connectors, O-rings, or waterproof seals.
To me, the only problem in production is the battery. which I'm okay with if Lithium isn't available, but when Lithium does become available for production, why can't they make a Lithium battery that will work with the AQ Limited?

I think releasing 100 of these early units is a great idea.
3.5 hours is plenty for me, I couldn't care less about the waterproofing and I'm perfectly capable of protecting the cables. The performance is supposed to be the same as the future machine which may take a year or two to produce and will cost much more.
The people using these detectors will have extremely useful input f

All that matters to me is that the detector works as advertised.

Awesome stuff. I love those Carolina swamps.
I cruised through on the Intracoastal Waterway a couple of times back in the late 80's and did some exploring up the creeks. It's a beautiful area.
I would be scared to death of snapping turtles in that water even though it's probably perfectly safe to dive.
A friend of mine was diving in some murky water just like that and came

The title of the post got my hopes up, but the content let me down.
Still nice to see the Impulse in action and hear a target or two. Better than nothing.

Larry banned me for posting a Browning ammo/skeet pouch that I was using as a finds pouch. Apparently, he felt some of his paid sponsors might complain.

I remember when 11-inch coils were considered big.
I hunted the wet sand for many years with an 8-inch coil on my CZ20 and did great with it.
The 11 inch coil on the MDT goes inches deeper on the wet sand than any VLF with any size coil.

Some covers are easier to remove than others. As the others have said, CZ covers usually cannot be removed without breaking. I finally stopped buying them and just zip tied a frisbee to it instead. Good shock absorption and never needs to be removed for cleaning.
I've never had trouble with any of the other fisher coils or Minelab, White's, or SEF coils.

I haven't been to the Treasurenet site in 15 or more years. Looks like it's still active. I see posts from today.

It definitely looks like a Tarsacci, and that's an old video from Apr 12, 2017, a year and a half before the On The Horizon thread was started.
Someone here must know who that guy is.

That is a problem. Keep your eyes open. You might find a clean piece of ground somewhere where you can start one. Oregon has a lot of open space.

Suggestion - You really should make yourself a test garden. It will answer a lot of questions concerning how the settings affect performance.
