107 targets day one, 34 targets day two, 11 targets day three. All the keepers were day three.
The targets changed by density every day.
The light density screamers came out on day 1, the medium density targets on day two and the high density targets on day three. You didn't find the high density targets on day 1 because the number of low density screamers took over your brain

Hi Rick,
Pretty cool the Gold Kruzer ticked on the .89 gram ring at 12" in sand. 1 gram 14 K yellow gold is about a 23 VDI on a F75, which is about where the Gold Kruzer just starts to operate well.
Thanks for sharing.

My personal opinion is that Carl Mooreland (aka Geotech) is more clued in than Pimento. No offense meant toward Pimento.
But hey...you can hitch your wagon to whomever you want.
Doesn't change the earth shattering news.....simultaneous multi-frequency operation for a $199 dollar price tag. That is 35,000 feet above a yellow ACE.

There are 3 coils available for the Vanquish....
V8 = 8x5 inch DD
V10 = 10x7 inch DD
V12 = 12x9 inch DD
I haven't heard any indication these will interchange with the EQX.
I know we tend to focus on the high level units....but think if it......A simultaneous dual frequency detector starting at $199. Will it be 7.8 and 39 kHz or will it be 7.8 and 18.2 khz ? If it stay

Marketing speak is entertaining. When I read the marketing speak for the EQX 800 I saw a detector that offered the ability to select 5 different single frequencies plus the ability to select different dual frequencies combinations by operating mode. All that "weighted" speak. I thought at first it might be 3 frequency operation but the depth reports knocked it back down to two. I t

Thanks Tom,
I was just thinking....CZ is a dual frequency, full spectrum detector. The Vanquish Multi-IQ is also a dual frequency full spectrum detector. The two frequencies required to provide full spectrum will need to be similar ie, one low and one high. From reading the Vanquish manual I don't see any dual frequency selection ability like on the EQX, just recovery speed changes

Lots of different types of EMI and my detectors have responded in different ways than the obvious chatter......for example...with a F44 and a Xterra 70....some EMI will mute the audio....kind of like muting a trumpet. The audio is there but muted. You move into it and the mute is on, you move out of it and the mute is off. On the Explorer series there were places where the audio changed by a

Steve, In my opinion you are thinking in the right direction... The stronger the EMI, the more degrees of separation required to not be affected by it.

The problem is that EMI is like ground minerals. You can cancel the ground's response but you can't cancel the ground mineral's strength. In the same manner you can cancel the EMI response (noise canceling frequency shifting) but that doesn't cancel the strength of the EMI.

This can go on a long time.
If you read Tom's post about why he uses an Explorer you will understand his ask around the Equinox. We are all unique. Arguing about each other's decision making process is just a waste of time.
I am a bit different. I just need to like using a particular metal detector. It doesn't matter how deep it goes or how fast it responds. If

Yes and No. Yes in that the basic operating premise is still in use, No in regards to operational processing and informational transference.
no..I could not spell "informational transference" correctly without spell check. I like it though. I think I'll make it my buzz word of the day.

Thank you, Des.
Can't sell in today's environment without being willing to take big losses.
I bought the Sport package, which only came with the 5x8 coil, for bad weather usage. Only I haven't been out in bad weather. If I make it a permanent part of my tool box I'll have to add a larger coil and right now I want to put those resources somewhere else.

I bought the the AT Pro new last November. It comes only with the 5x8" DD coil, headphone adapter and arm strap. I no longer have the original box.
Only used on land. Coil has normal wear marks on the bottom. Has the nice grip.
$285 shipped. Paypal or USPS Money Order.
Thanks

I am a fan of the F75 LTD with DST. I guess I always will be. It doesn't need select-able frequencies as It can hunt both high and low conductors equally well and it has a full tool belt in the feature set it offers. The detector process (algorithm) and audio tone selections are independent and can be mixed and matched as needed.
I didn't really like the Impact. The audio was

Hi Mark,
I dunno....Been thinking about the NEL Tornado.
I'm coil heavy but I find them useful and will carry a couple with me, depending on what my focus is. For the F75 I have the following...
5"DD = Heavy trash with full modulated audio and functionality.
5x10"DD = High trash with full modulated audio and functionality,
Mars Tiger 7" round DD. About an 1-1

Tom, my thought is that swinging a little coil on a stick isn't going to go any further than it is now. Computer technology has advance to the point where the logical next step is large area coverage. Think PI grid mesh consisting of an X number of coils ( the old bed spring ) blanking the ground beneath in various pulse delays, building up a 2D picture of pulse delay and signal strength

I most likely will pick up another F5 as its very hard to simulate the F5's low gain / high sensitivity settings and the audio boost feature. The 7.8 kHz frequency really works well with that feature set for small gold jewelry and I miss it.
I always seem to keep a Golden Sabre II around. When I sell one I always seem to get another a few months later.

I'm sometimes known to be a sucker for a good detector picture in a classifieds add...
The slowdown happened way before Nokta/Makro entered the picture. While 2008 started the downtrend I really saw it start sagging in 2012. Since then the seasonal natural disaster events have continued to drag it down in my opinion. The manufactures and dealers are always happy when the new market t

Something about the low cost multi frequency that offer targeted full band or focused band spectrum hunting kind of ticks my boxes.
I know, I know, EQ already does this but getting this below the $500 dollar mark is exciting to me.
Anyway...really looking forward to the release.
