I think the forum description changed during the Kemper episode......
This subject matter may have started out being related to detecting, but, people started interjecting their personal politics into it and it went downhill from there.

Something with 3 tones, Eurotek Pro is a good machine, simple but effective. $500.00 would get the machine, headphones and a pinpointer. Get the 8" coil version and you can add a Lesche digger.
Might look at the new Fishers F11, F22 and F44 models. I haven't used them but, they sound promising.
Like Shoveler said " with a budget like that , and if you included the used market

CZ-3d all the way...... 5" coil is very good in iron with nice depth, plus it works well for saltwater beach wet sand hunting.
There is a reason the CZ platform is still a very respected detector after its introduction in 1991.

Seems most people do it for the "next target could be a great find" sorta a glass is 1/2 full type of person. I guess it shows that you have to have a positive attitude about life in general.
I am a next target, great find type of detector.

The company I work for is a world wide conglomerate. Presidents are a dime a dozen, each division has its own president, then there are 4 or 5 vice presidents under him. The big boss is the CEO, he is the one you never see except in video conferences for annual state of the company addresses, he is the one with the bodyguards.

When we get the 100 degrees 90 percent humidity days, I start at daylight and usually quit about 9:00 A.M.
I also use these, they help keep your neck/head cool as the water evaporates.

Stay hydrated....... Go water hunting...lol

We have had so much rain down here the last month, I haven't done any detecting. Now that it has quit raining, everything is flooded or to muddy to get to.... Hopefully I will find a dry place this weekend.

Tesoro is hard to beat, I am using a Tesoro Stingray II (predecessor to the Tiger Shark), it is more effective on small gold than my CZ-20 or Whites Surfmaster II.

One thing I like about this site, is it is full of useful/hardcore data on different machines. I don't need or want the fluff found on other forums.
