He refused to get wrapped up in a forum pi$$ing contest and decided to move on. You have to admire that. Me? I just told the person what I thought of him.

It is very apparent that the Minelab Equinox is the target of the competition. Price and performance. Nokta and XP both have a dog in the race. That is good news for us.

Good news. Another detector as an option for salt beach hunting. Makro and now this detector. More choices coming in the next year than we had the last twenty five.

Yeah I sort of had a disagreement about this new detector on another forum. All I ask for out of a multifrequeny detector is to be waterproof. After all salt water hunters need that feature. A wireless coil transmission is no good when submerged. I have no idea what this new detector can and can not do, but the cons of a wireless coil outweigh the pros in my view. I called it a gimmick and I stil

Didn't Whites have that small diameter coil that could be used around metal fences? I remember it was thick and shielded on the top to prevent a signal from anywhere but the bottom of the coil. I never used one, but I remember seeing them advertised.

The Deus is a fine detector. I owned a few through the years. I was astounded by it' s performance many times. That being said it is also the detector which I had the most problems with when it comes to the issue of EMI. The wireless coil in my opinion was a gimmick. I really never saw the point. I have never been that inconvenienced by a coil wire. I always had the controller mounted for VD

Tell the manufacturers we need this done automatically while we hunt. I tend not to noise cancel at all because it is only one frame in a long movie.

I use an SMF detector in salt water environments for their stability against the conductivity of salt water. Dry to wet. Wet to dry. Moving salt water. All require extreme adjustments on single frequency machines. In the end an adjustment of lowering sensitivity is always required on single frequency detectors to maintain that stability. That means a loss of depth where finding a dense target lik

I would rather watch them dig then listen to them sweep the target 45 times. I really don't like and will not watch a target that was just buried video.
Faking finds? If you are that desperate to impress people then more power to you.
I have my favorite hunters I like to watch. I have learned quite a bit from Aquachigger over the years. Most of it not about detectors. The Hoover boys

Yeah....but it did pretty much make all the others obsolete.
The N/M detector will speak for itself. Competition is great for the consumer.
You have to wonder what Minelab has on the horizon. Things should be interesting for a while.

Ground tracking which has been around for decades.......now we need emi tracking. Yeah we talked about it before. A detector that changes frequencies or offsets frequencies in the background while we hunt. An automatic mitigation capable of keeping up with an ever changing situation. We have all been noise canceling for decades as well. A snapshot in time that is worthless a few minutes later. Fr

There is only one question. Will it persuade Equinox owners to make a purchase? As I mentioned before.....It needs to show a real and definitive advantage over the Equinox because the market has just been dominated for a few years. As good as the Nox? Well I already own the Nox. One area of interest to me will be the water proof feature. An area many Equinox owners were and are dissatisfied. One

The Equinox is fairly easy to use. The iron bias setting is the only one in my opinion that needs some sort of thinking. People write books and make hours of videos describing adjustments. Use a stock setting. Adjust the tones to suit your head and hearing. The same you do on any detector. Adjust the sensitivity just like every other detector. And then adjust iron bias to your preference and expe

Tom I have the 720i. A great scoop. I'm not sure what I invested in it. It has been a few years. Probably close to what you mentioned. I admit my beach hunting has tapered off since the pandemic. So the scoops have not been wet in quite a while. I often think back to the questions....Do you want it? Or.....Do you need it? If you dig in rocks I can see needing it. Soft sand? Not so much.

Dependability and effectiveness are what I need. I have both of those things from a few different scoops including the RTG. Scoops that are much cheaper. But heh if you need the Cadillac then more power to you. Any problem I have ever had with a scoop was with the handle. Of course I don't dig in rocks. Just sand.

Sad stuff. At the end of it all I am surprised that it disappeared from the news. A discriminating PI detector! Is it out of the realm of possibilities? I have been hearing about the inevitable invention of this detector for probably over twenty years. I got old waiting on it. And now I believe that I have lost interest in it. To be honest I believe I have lost interest in the hobby itself. At le

Tom I live about 90 min from the New Jersey beaches. That is on a good day because I have to navigate Philly to get there. I am married to a wonderful woman that since the pandemic began has worked her office job from home. She is how can I say very diligent in keeping me healthy. My trips to the beach with friends and other hunters raises concerns because of this darn disease. My trips with her

I have a few hobbies. Detecting being one of them. I consider myself to be web savvy. If I need information on something I usually find it. I have never posted on Facebook. My wife has an account for friends and family, but I have never bothered with it. That being said...Facebook seems to be the king of communication for many. Even though most of that information is wrong or just BS. I would rat

That's kinda disappointing that the only evolution we have seen in 30 years is the speed of electronics. I almost feel obligated to invest in a Tarsacci just to have hope for the future of the hobby. I personally have been impressed with target separation since the Dues and Equinox. I thought we were on the verge of a technology breakthrough. Increased depth is worthless to me without target

Tarsacci? Covid delayed my purchase. If the new Nokta unit is the same old same old I'll make the leap to the Tarsacci unit. For me it is all about salt water beaches.

Obviously I have no idea what the upcoming Nokta detector will do or not do. I will place my bets and say the "foot" limit or barrier will not be beaten. The detector will be on par with the Equinox on unmasking ability. Maybe even a little better in certain situations. Your typical audio adjustments. How it deals with iron as far as identifying it will be of interest to me. " Bott

Agree or disagree with the bank account info. But it makes transactions more secure. If you are shopping new EBay is not the place to do it. Used? I would try the remaining forums first. Selling? If you use EBay you know the fees going into it.
My EBay account was hacked about two years ago. One morning I had 32 emails telling me in each one I sold them a baby thermometer. Trouble is the money
