No, the password on the White's V3i is to protect changes to the registered owner name/info that appears on boot.
In other words, you only need a password if you want to change

Anyone that invests their money with someone who has served jail time....more than once....already had all the information they needed beforehand...
...and they shouldn't cry when they lose every penny.
The history of 'Snake Oil' scams, and the public's amazing willingness....even their 'need' to believe....is a fascinating study of human nature.

Firmware/BIOS updates for micro-controller/cpu devices is an "all-or-nothing" thing.
You completely replace the existing code.

It does have an exe extension.
Are you downloading the right thing?
The file size should be about 32 MB.
It runs exactly like the old update utility.

EQUINOX SOFTWARE UPDATE A4 EN WEB.pdf
Yes, it improved the issues it addressed.
Yes, some people went back to the original.
They claimed several different reasons that most people (including me) never saw .... such as depth difference, iron ID and pinpoint 'spot' being off.
I personally think the pinpointing being off is the natural effect that occurs (with all detectors) whe

Gary,
I realize this is a couple of days old, but thought I'd point it out anyway...maybe save you some time and effort.

Based on their odd / eclectic product range and rankings .... where an HP calculator is somehow related to lawn mower mulching blades, Kubota tires, and Seagate hard drives ??? .... I'd not predict a counterfeit at all.
As in, I'd predict no product at all.
There's too many bulky, expensive, and unrelated industries listed to actually carry any stock.
My bet is on the cricke

Pimento is correct, of course.
Although, rather than running the other end to a float, you might run it back...alongside the shaft, up past the armrest.
You might even fabricate an antenna extension at the armrest to extend it up to the equivalent of sternum height.
Just be careful not to dunk the headphones. Mixing electronics and salt water never ends well.
The technical issue, is tha

Could be. Purex did make both bleach and laundry detergent.
Might not want to mix them up.

Think you might have it backwards there, TN
Purex started making bleach out of a garage in 1922 (technically 1923)...almost 10 years after Clorox.
(Clorox started manufacturing first commercial bleach in the US back in 1913.)
Purex was indeed considered Clorox's biggest competitor for a while, though.

Just to make it a little more confusing for you, keep in mind that coils can leak, too...usually at the strain relief...but sometimes through an abraded cable sheath.

Michael, I don't think XP calls their x35 coils 'HF' coils...since they only go from 4k to 28k.
The one option you do have on the X35 you can't do on the LF is 4k power boost.
(...and they're

Rick,
Minelab has adopted a tech that does some A/D conversion in the coil itself.
This allows some real advantages as far as signal to noise improvements (noise reduction), and some level of signal smoothing.
It also allows ML to create proprietary chips and firmware that require licensing from them, if you wish to design and manufacture an accessory coil.
(Simiilar to the CTX.)
