A pity that: shouldn't happen, not with New purchases. Shoddy on someone's behalf?
From where I'm standing it wouldn't surprise me if you don't really gel with that detector after the BS hassle?

Good findings all round.
Did you mean to include a photo? (a pink box there?)
I did not find the 'Sov wiggle' any use on the Nox (600) as its so extremely fast processing anyway so it negated any effect?
Maybe the 800 is different in that Dept.

My 'theory' why the 'Explorer XS', wasn't very responsive to some [ low conductive metallic targets ] has to do with its progression from BBS to FBS.
Any 'Sovereign BBS Technology' owner will tell you that it doesn't shout at low conductor's, it 'warbles' and often imprecisely at that. On a windy day and not wearing headphones one could mi

That's a lovely coin and appears to be Genuine.
Some years ago when I attended a Rally event in a Scandi country, I was about 50 feet away from a fellow who turned up a Roman gold.
The find really puzzled me as the local Club had been hunting the site for many years and it hadn't turned up previously!
The guy was using an 'X-Terra 705' so it wasn't that deep...5"

Great finds and photos Cal! Thanks for showing.
Which bits are the hard to detect with an Exp 2 'percussion caps?'
Reason I'm asking is, I was the only person from the Ireland office involved in creating all the "Explorer" models and was liasing with Australia ever before any other 'outside' Tester's came on the scene.
If they are the 7 'flatten

Great FINDS...a lot of work! Well done.
Silly Q. (I am allowed at least one...) Did you ever see a 'ghost' in/close to/around/ a ghost town?

Looks like a very handy piece of kit! Not only useful in and around water but a great tool to search inside house walls and outside walls too!
A lot of engineering went into it...clever.

A coin collector in the UK who stabbed a fellow enthusiast to death and then stole his collection has been jailed for 30 years.
Danny Bostock, 33, entered Gordon McGhee's apartment as a burglar and knifed him at least 14 times when he awoke, Ipswich Crown Court heard yesterday.
Judge David Goodon jailed Bostock for life for the "savage" murder adding that he must spend 30 years i

I'm sorry to hear that Daniel: Condolences to his Family and to you also as you were good buddies.
I've often seen his Posts and interactions here and he seemed to be across 'all brands' out of general interest much like ourselves.
Indeed, he bought a couple of MInelab bits and pieces from me last year and was very trusting and honest in his dealings. Money was in the PayPal

That is the advantage of the AT Max over the ATP: it is back lit.
I remember the very first test of the AT Max as it was getting dusk early and when I turned on the backlight it was pure magic!

Sven,
Hardly likely to be a battery contact issue but then, who knows? Pop a flashlight into the handle and take a look? The internal springs 'should be' visible: check they are 'erect' and not 'proned' sideways?
It's more likely to be the front faceplate decal with all the push buttons? Water ingress happens over time and it can creep in and short out

You really can't single out the 'EQX" in this regard!
You'd also have to criticise any 'tall standing metered machines', such as the White's XLT, DFX, V3, Spectra V3i AND the CTX: the CT just had to be carried upside down.
But, having said that, I would agree that Yes, the 'EQX' is a pain in the butt to carry [ long distances ] into and out of sites
