Thanks everyone! Spokane area in Eastern Washington State.
We get a lot of S mint coins but not many real old coins.
I'm always happy to see a Barber come out of the ground.

Only one old coin yesterday but it is a beauty!
A friend of mine invited me to meet him at one of our towns older parks yesterday telling me
that there aren't many coins to be found but when you do find one its good.
After 4 hours of swinging my 13x17 coil with only clad finds and a junk pendent in my pouch I finally get
a 6" deep 12-44 and out pops this 1912 S in what looks to b

Nice!
Seated coins are real rare here in eastern Washington State.
Finding a seated half is never even considered when I'm out hunting.
I like the dark tarnish down by the date. I wouldn't try to get it off.
Gives your coin some nice character.
Way to go!

Can't wait for more details and release date!
I really liked the original Racer and have been waiting for this one.
Will it have an epoxy filled elliptical coil?
That was one of the few things I didn't really like about the Racer.
Not a fan of hollow coils bouncing off the rocks and brush.
It will be nice to get a tone break and I'm curious about the imask and
Disk modes.

Thanks everyone. It was a fun day fore sure.
I didn't know what the tags were for. I thought maybe they were old PO Box tags or something.

Let us know what you learn on your testing of the CZ Daniel.
The CZ5 was my first detector back in the 90s but I don't remember much about it.
I have been wanting to buy another one myself to test out just for fun.
I really didn't know what I was doing back then although I did have pretty good success with it.
I think if you are looking for accurate ID of coins at depth in to

Yes! Besides my CTX 3030 the Racer has been the best detector I have owned.
I'm not selling for lack of performance.
I bought the Racer to hold me over until the Gold Racer comes out which is hopefully soon.

I see you can get a Cors Shrew on eBay right now.
I just ordered a Nel Snake (same coil?) for my Vaquero and there is a 6 week back order.
I think I will wait for the Snake. I could be wrong but don't snakes eat shrews?
Why would you name a coil Shrew?

Looks good! It does look like a collapsible shaft which would be awesome.
The shaft on the CTX is one of my favorite things I like about it.
I cringe every time I go back to use my other detectors with the dam chord wrapped around the
Cheesy shaft.

I have thought about using my tumbler on my crusty old nickels and pennies that really have nothing to lose in value too.
What do you put in the tumbler with the coins and how long do you run it?

You can customize your tones on the CTX.
I use combined and set my high conductors to ring in at 1000Hz which is pretty high and
will definitely get your attention.

If interested I have an Excelerator EQ2 Pro 10x14 I will sell you for $75 shipped.
It is in fantastic condition.
I bought this when I was going to get an Etrac but end up getting a CTX instead.
This is supposed to be one of the best Etrac coils out there from what I have read.
I don't think you can get them anymore.

I like how they incorporate the history in to the show but their excitement when they find something is so over the top it's embarrassing.
After two episodes my wife won't even watch it because of the the way they act.
I still watch it but it's extremely annoying.

I just wanted to chime in to show my support for Makro.
I too had a bad coil problem about a month ago. Not the thin ear problem.
I contacted Makro through there website via email.
They end up sending me a new coil directly from Turkey.
It only took a few days. It came faster then most stuff I order here in the states.
It was great service and the Racer truly is a great all around met

Soon to be 49.
Started in mid 90s with a CZ5. Been in and out of the hobby several times since then but taking it much more serious
now that I have some more time.

Thanks for the input. That will give me a few more detectors to research.
I Hadn't even considered the headhunter or older Tesoro's.
Is the Stingray considered a better machine than the new Tiger Shark?
Kenny. Why the AT Pro over the Gold?
Thanks
