You could get by for sure with an older GoPro, and Craigslist is usually full of them. The GoPro Hero 5 featured voice commands, so you can start your camera and stop hands free. Image stabilization got really good with the Hero 5, and GoPro knocked it out of the park with the Hero 6. The Hero 7 just leaked, so soon it will be for sale and Hero 6 prices will drop.

You can dial the modulation in with the sensitivity. For those that haven’t spent much time with

I just fired up my F75 and I’m getting modulated audio at depth. NASA Tom also confirms it in this thread: Quote “Any of the tone option settings does indeed give modulated audio responses...... as long as Sens is approx '80' or below.“.
I just came from the test garden and I’m getting it, so not sure what’s up with whoever isn’t.

I recalibrated mine using the method here, and can happily say after running it twice in a row my start-up is now instant. This should have been included in the manual, because it's basically turned the pointer into a must have recommendation from a previously nice to have if you can live with the long start up.

The tones are really subjective to the user and how they mind meld with a machine. For you it was the Deus, for others could be something else. For example, I hated the Deus tones and would take Minelab

It’s not always about absolute performance. I always have at least one beep dig in the stable because there are days I appreciate the simplicity, and the surprise. I don’t have to worry about whether to dig or not, no interpreting any vdi, no second guessing, and it’s kind of like playing the slots. And as lame as all that sounds, it’s those days that I’ve scored my craziest finds.

I wouldn’t go back to an in-line probe if someone paid me. Last year I picked one up that came with an F75 purchase, and felt truly grateful of how far the pinpointer market has come. Everything from getting it out of the holder, extra weight mounted, and haven’t to pull wider plugs so you can swing the thing in the hole or the pain of having to switch the detector in all metal mode. No thanks,
