I have four detectors of which I have tested with test "standards" that are used for calibration purposes. Tested detectors were:
1. Five (5) year old White's MXT
2. Seventeen (17) year old Fisher CZ
3. Fisher F-75 with more than 1500/hrs use
4. Eight (8) year old Minelab Explorer XS
NONE of these detectors have experienced electronic 'drift'. All of them have remained exactly "in calibration". No "tune-up" required.
