F-75 small coil observations
January 13, 2008 01:01AM
One hour today at relic site with F-75 with small coil yielded 22 targets. 68% were small shoe or garment eyelets,or small broken pieces of relics. Only 5 were the larger suspender buckles and other items. Discrim 4, de, monotone, sens 99. It was very good at getting these small items, but I don't want to dig that many pieces of little or no value items. One cap like relic I got did have gold gilt. Got 5 buttons yesterday with CZ-21 and two of them had heavy gold gilt. I thought the small coil on the 75 would be the ultimate for this site...too many tiny items that I am not interested in. It was impressive on how it would pick them out. The in-line probe was a necessity to quickly pick out the small targets in muddy soil...often they were encased making pinpointing necessary for retreival. 2 days in a row with gold finds so can't complain.
