It was -7 degrees this morning but warmed up to 7 degrees above zero this afternoon.I took my SE to a bare spot in an old church parking lot.I found a 1961 penny and a beat up 1919 Mercury dime, both on edge.My neighbors came over with a propane weed burner to thaw the ground so I could dig the coins. They hunted a little while and found two 1946 Wheaties in the same hole.I sat in front of their wood stove for 20 minutes defrosting my feet. This has been a brutal winter in Montana.
