Gotta Hold Your Mouth Right

Storms cleared out and I got back to the old house site in the pasture today. Got a buffalo nickel (1918), a shield nickel (1867 with rays), and a mouth harp (reed missing). Any advice on cleaning nickels would be appreciated. F75 LTD is doing a good job amongst the iron.

Cool finds! If your nickels are not key dates and you just want to improve their appearance, try soaking them in white vinegar with a little salt stirred in. Follow this with a baking soda rub under running water. I start by soaking the coins for only 3-5 minutes per side; rinse and repeat as necessary. This will get most of the crud off.
