Question Tom

I've watch your beach DVD twice now and have a question.
In your video you explain that the heavy gold will be in the areas where the sand is more dense. But what about the gold bracklets and lighter gold items?\

Good question Mark. The heavier the gold.....and the more 'solid' it is.............the more the requirement for 'supportive sand'. If the gold is light/wirey/filigree...... it does NOT require as much 'support' to prevent it from rapidly sinking. If the chain/ring/bracelet/pendent has many openings/holes...and is more of filigree in nature (and light/low-density sand can 'fill in' these holes; subsequently, making the overall mass quite a bit lighter)...... you have a increased chance of finding it/them in less-supportive areas......due to the fact they will sink at a slower rate.
