I have a couple of questions. First, for wet salt sand, what do you guys recommend more minelab sovereign or cz-3d?

Second, for strictly dry beach sand, what vlf metal detector do you recommend for small gold?

I currently use an mxt for parks but am interested in picking up a couple of other metal detectors if there are better ones out there for the beach.

Older CZ-3D......and........older CZ-3D.

There are 2 older CZ-3D units for sale on Ebay currently. One has no return policy...the other a 7 day return policy. I have no interests with either party selling these items. Just for your info.
Do keep in mind that used units have no manufacturer's warranty with First Texas Products, who now own the Fisher line of detectors.

What's a normal price range for the older cz-3d and how do you know which ones are older or newer? Oh and do they come with Thanks for your answers.

Oh and one more question, how does the depth of the cz-3d compare to the sovereign?

In wet salt.....the CZ's are nearly identical in performance to the Minelab Sov's. In the dry sand.....the CZ's are the trump card.....and by a fair amount.
The older CZ's begin with Serial numbers of 1021 or 1121.

Thanks Tom and TerraDigger. I think I will try an get me one to try out.

One more question. I read some of your posts on micro-jewelry with the gold bug 2 and wondered how the white's gmt compares to the gold bug for the micro gold on sand?
