Interesting that he talks about the conductive shield-paint...conductive cardboard. Many coils do not come apart so easily...........as they are permanently epoxy-bonded.

Some of the coiltek coils are held together by a strip of tape. I never took any of them apart but I don't believe any of them were filled with epoxy. Even the largest of them was incredibly light.
I may be wrong but some other brands of coils I have owned looked like the wire was laid in the top half which was then filled with epoxy and no bottom was added.
Do any of the manufacturers add fibers to the epoxy resin to further strengthen the coil?

Not to my knowledge. This would be an extra part..........extra expense.
