Bought some HC504 Headphones on E-Bay with amplifier built in...

Bone phones they call them. Wear on cheek bone and leaves your ears open. They work great. Only concern is you have to charge them, the detector does not power them. If you want more volumn just put in earplugs and the volumn seems to double. Great for the hearing impaired, but work great at the beach. Surrounding wind and noise does not affect your hearing. Cost, about 65 dollars. Surprisingly good.
