CZ Sens. at max. Depth

So the CZ-3d at 4.8 is max. depth at coil diameter any higher sens. just increases the diameter of the signal, but not the depth. Does this hold true for the CZ-5, 6, 6a, 70's series and the 20, 21?

Yes it does as far as I know. As far as digital CZ's you can only raise the sens. 2 at a time so 4 sens. is usually the max setting,But if you get a hot digital CZ you can run it up to 6 sens.

CZ's are like women they are all a little different depending on their tuning and above all their innards...Do yourself a favor and run your unit at 5..5.5..6...well you get the idea and run it as high as you can while keeping a stable unit...and see if you get extra depth....perhaps to a perfectly tuned unit this may apply but otherwise bet you get extra depth....

Thanks, that helped a bunch, cause after reading the post on FM it had me wondering if it was just the CZ3d or all of them (CZ's)

In most cases, the analog CZ's max out on depth.... with a Sens setting of 4.8. ((( Field intensity is max depth with min width ))). Keep in mind.... these are analog CZ's..... so the Sens knob position may vary slightly.

On the digital platform CZ's....... A Sens setting of '6' (in most cases) provides max depth, minimum width.
