I will do a Racer video when mine arrives....What do you guys want to see?

I will do an air test with various different targets and try to get some video of live digs too. Right now I only bought the standard package so I won't have the small coil to test. What other tests do you guys want to see and I will try and get some on video. You know you are not going to get any partiality from me. I pay for my own detectors and call it like it is.

I. Do not hunt for buttons and bullets...please show some COIN hunting

The most amazing and greatest feature to me is the simplicity of the detector. To get good results from just turning the detector on is just what my brain needs.

Im like Sonny mostly a coin hunter . Hows it gona hit a penny or dime at 6 or 7 inches avg depth around here. Apark or yard hunt would be nice to see. I like the looks of the thing and 3 lbs thats awesome. Thanks wjs for askin what we wanta see.

Bill-----What I would like to see-----please do some comparison tests (with U.S. coins) on the Racer with stock coil versus the F-19 with 11" biaxial----as to depth, accurate I.D. & EMI.------Too bad you didn't get the small coil also with the Racer as that is where I think this thing is really going to shine.----------Del

I would like to see the same test as Del but do the air test with the coil sitting on the ground and air testing after ground balancing both the F19 & Racer.

I too would like to see it compared to First Texas machines. From what I've seen so far it seems to look and act a whole lot like an FT machine. Surprised I haven't read others mentioning this.

Discrimination is the root of all evil.

Compare it to the F75--before and after upgrade if possible.

what Del said, I'd like to know how the Racer compares to the F19, (larger coil on the F19 if you have it)....quiet with high sense? fast with good separation? solid VDI?

basically what I really want to know is if a 'new' design VLF actually made some 'usable' improvements over what is 'essentially' a several year old design.....

Keith did mention it on here under another thread on the Fors core a few weeks back,

and

the 1st thing I said to him while hunting with him and he was using the CoRe -- is that it sounds a lot like a Fisher/FT machine but also like a XP somewhat too

One thing I will say from what I saw while he was using the Core (and it looks like the Racer is the same) according to his video/s

is that they are VERY high gain/powerful machines and extremely sensitive (like a souped up Tejon sorta)

some will not like this fact = guaranteed and I'll lay $$ that it will mostly be coin hunters in high modern trashy areas unless you like to hear overload signals constantly and dig tons and tons of junk/aluminum.

JMO but that's what I interpreted from seeing it in action 1st hand

Hey Bill, Im curious on visual ID at depth. How deep is the Id fairly accurate at what depth on what target. Also how well does it disc out iron at depth. Does deep iron sound like deep coins? Tia

I'd like to see it compared to the F75 LTD2, 11"DD on both machines and see how it does on deep coins, particularly dimes.

The F75 is plenty deep on quarter and larger sized silver, but falters on deep dimes in dirt that's less then inert.

Should be an apples to apples test as it looks like both machines 11"DD coils are more or less the same, let's see what they can do

If you take 3 machines, please sweep the coil only ones from both direction (with 2 sec. break between) at the beginning of every new try. The first sweep is the most important one, but it gets overlooked in almost every "test". Sweeping the coil 100 times over an already discovered target makes only sense if the signal appears immediately. It would be great if you could add this short procedure to your test. This would be something I would like to see.

That would be a great test, as essentially it's apples to apples with all using an almost identical 11" DD coil.

So the F19 has been a deep silver seeker for park hunting?

Since the minelabs are the benchmark for deep target ID, I'd like to see you mark some of those targets w/the etrac that you know are deep coins, like at the edge of those tell tale cursor flutters and recheck w/the racer/F19.

I really like that methodology Bill, that kind of testing will determine whether I go for the Racer or the G2+, I've passed on the F75....

The F19 with the 11" or ultimate coil is no slouch on depth. I think it is one of the most overlooked detectors. It does not have many features such as different tones, etc but it just plain works. Now I always base what I like on my type of hunting which is mostly coin hunting in local parks and schools.

Thanks Ray. I missed that post. I'm glad I'm not the only one that sees the similarity. I read the Racer manual too. It was like deja vu(T2 manual).

This is always cool. Would like you to bury a .58 minie ball and compare too. You always get monster depth in your soil so you might have to make deep holes before you can really show depth differences between these machines.

I would like to see the LED coil light and screen backlight in night conditions.

Didn't you buy Keith's proper F75LTD2??? Using stock coils on both, find some 4 bar soil, and try to keep plug for hole intact and show head to head on deep nickels and dimes. 10" dime, and 11, maybe 12" nickel. Also compare them on fresh buried loose dirt throughout test on some deeper dimes and nickels. And if you are in fact using an F75LTD2 try the 1N tone in BP mode in some of your comparisons. I think Tom has covered the small coil so well, you may just be wasting your time there.

Yes I don't think we have any 4 bar dirt. We are blessed with nice soil in most places we hunt around here. Craig if you want to meet up somewhere when I get the racer and do some tests like we did last time that would work great.....
