dig those tin cans

Just received a message from a friend who found this on Saturday. Said it sounded like all the other tin cans he had been digging that day.

Does an archeologist argue with a plow? A bureaucrat with a bulldozer?

Lord have mercy!! That's the CS plate that sits at the top of my list for wanted CS relics. I wear a reproduction like it every day. For some reason that's my favorite style of their buckles. I know I wont ever find one so I'm saving a little here and there to just buy one at the next relic show.

Congrats to your friend!!

Dang! I bet He is glad He dug that 'Tin can' signal.
That's a Beauty. Love the Patina. Didn't they call that one the sardine can plate because of it's shape?

Now you tell me.

After digging who knows how many aluminum cans when I first started detecting, it took me a while to learn how “not” to dig such signals. After years of avoiding such targets, who knows what has been missed.

Congrats to your friend on a great find.
