If you have a Fisher F5 and want to know the software version heres how.....Press down the pinpoint and turn unit on and version will flash above settings...61-62-63 indicating the version.
Found out mine is a 63 which is the newest version....hobby is really a learning process.....

Great info! Mine is a 63. Gotta watch quick because the 63 just flashes for an instant......on mine anyway.

Yep its a quick flash so yours is working correctly....Some versions on different units stay on a tad longer for one to read....

Wonder why they used those high of version #'s on the F-5 when on the Omega it's like 4, 5, & 6.

Actually 6.1, 6.2, 6.3
Since the Omega is basically the same detector, same platform the numbers are just a continuation of 4,5,6, maybe? Good guess?

Dan has a nice like new machine, bet you can pry it out of his ownership..................
