F19 ON CLEANUP DETAIL AFTER CTX ON THE 1850s SITE

I took the F19 to the 1850s house site I hunted about a week ago with the CTX -- below is the resultant of a 2 hr hunt -- AFTER -- a 2 hr hunt last week with the CTX

I went over the exact same ground/area with it as with the CTX and/but these targets were not heard/picked up on by the CTX -- but -- were by the F19 -- it's interesting to see the difference in targets that the 2 machines seem to pick up on and also the targets one machine over-looks VS the other...

I have grown to really like the F19 over the last few months - I love the audio clues the machines gives for both low and high conductors as for shallow VS deep targets as well as being able to call iron targets such as the buckles/etc. shown below.

Some of these targets were dug at nearly a foot deep and I don't mean the large/r iron buckles - these machines hit on lower conductors extremely well and I was diggin some of the small/er items (buttons, blobs of brass & lead, etc.) at 10" or more. It's all in the audio -- and that being said -- some of the deep brass/etc. was sounding off like iron but when you get the audio down - it speaks volumes to you smiling smiley

I like the cool little 1920s Detroit Special button - says "Finck's" (a brand of overalls)... It was found at nearly a foot deep (as deep as my Piranha Lesche Shovel Blade is long)...

The flat button is exactly like the one the ctx found just inches away from this one at about 7" deep...

Last summer on a similar old farmstead my F19 results were remarkably similar.
The discovery of a few deep iron buckles to 10" depth and other nations non ferrous "dross" the
CTX didn't 'see' was a disappointment and with it's 6" coil.
This summer I went over the same area with a the Teknetics Digitek and, it found items missed
by the F19
But, they are all great day and in a their own ways:

Nice flat button...

Man those multi period sites are a nightmare to hunt..

They bother me because I cant hunt them like my mind keeps telling me it requires ..

I like to massage targets out of iron infestation but on sites like that the newer trash on top is shutting down that relic layer..

Might be good-un in there somewhere...

That's why I like the sites way back in the woods when you can find them...usually no one was there past 1880 or so, maybe earlier! so that top 20th century trash layer is not present..

bad thing though on those back in the woods ancient sites like that is the easy pickens can be got quick then the dissecting begins for years on...

Hope you find a great piece in there Wayne

The finds are exactly those the machine was designed
to find those that have a greater make up concentrate
of Ferrous and those elusive Low Conductive targets Especially those of a "difficult" eddy current
generator i.e. Such as those .22 cartridge cases.
I remember finding more spent ammunition with the F19
than I had testing other machines.

On the same topic: this year beach testing a Pulse Induction
unit, very few ammunition targets were found.

No markings Wayne

here's a pic of the top -- it may not even be a shell casing but it sure looks like one!

Sure am -- taking that one there next thumbs down

been waiting to see if anyone releases a new "world class" type machine too --- itching to try out something new/improved and top level but it's been a long wait

may have to get another Deus soon!
