I had a couple good hunts this week that put my silver count at
32 for the year, which is equal to my entire 2015 total.
I have a goal of 75 for 2016 but might bump it to 100 since I'm off to a good start.
Yesterday I found twin 1899 Barbers, a 40 Merc and a vintage sterling
Eagle Scout ring!
When I got home and cleaned it up, I realized that it was missing the eagle
emblem.
I had committed the main metal detectorists sin of not re-checking the hole!
I went back this morning and luckily popped the plug open and found the
eagle emblem.
A few notable finds this week were a couple of key date wheat pennies.
A decent 1926 s and a really nice 1914s with EF-40 or better details.
The Navy button is my first military button find.
Farragut Naval training station on Lake Pend Oreille Idaho is about an
hour from Spokane and was open from about 1942-1945.
I'm thinking that is were it probably originated.
Most of the finds were from two different early 1900s parks.
Most of the wheat pennies and one Merc dime came from a private yard.
