Nokta Relic hunt (proving grounds);

One of my sites has opened due to cut hay.

Actually what I call my proving grounds.

Area is loaded with nails and iron.

Got a late start this morning,,skies overcast for a while,,didn't hunt too long.
Impressive results with this detector.

Hunted using small coil exclusively.

All targets dug 2-4" deep,,,very surprising.

A good button haul considering I've pounded this small area to death with Deus,,9 and 11" coils,,,Racer 1 has been here a little as well.

Ran the Relic detector ,,3 tone,,disc at 2, I mask 0,, sens 99.

Will be going back this evening,,and will try to hunt this site,,this week before the grass encroaches once again.

The top 2 buttons in pic,,,read 32-33 on Nokta's meter,,,good clean hit tone wise.

I checked these in the air with Deus in 18khz,,read 80.

With Relic detector,,they read 62.

So these were both shallow,,their True ID pulled down some 30 points.

And this with using the small coil.

Didn't do head to head with Deus.

I suspect masking going on to drive such shallow targets down ID wise so much,,,and if I had to guess Deus either wouldn't alert me,,or if so,,it's signal would have been so mixed sound wise to iron,,,would have missed.

I may try to if I can get some more hits to swing the 9" coil Deus over,,just to see.
I could infact learn something.

Where I dug these I had recovered similar buttons with Deus before,,,and here is the strange part--- never no buttons this shallow here in this site with Deus or anything else I've run until today.

I am very tempted to put the stock coil on the Nokta Relic detector and give it a go here too,,,who knows what may happen,,find wise.

This site polluted with very old iron,,,and bits,,iron dust, etc.

One reason I keep going back,,,aa site for learning for me.
