How bad is your ground?

Here is a site that that will give you some info on your ground conditions. Page 113-114 shows the iron content in the ground in your area. I live right in the middle of the red zone up here in the Pacific Northwest.

Yes, I live in southwest colorado south of grand junction, soil is high I alkali and is hard on many detectors. The detectors that fair the best for me here are the ctx, CZ 6a, Deus and tejon/vaquero.

Years ago had an XLT that measured the ground and on one football field it changed 3 times...Probably not the norm as imagine a lot of fill dirt is used constructing a football field. Having said the previous expect if you move around harsher and or milder conditions from hunting area to the next...
