Anyone swinging the blisstool with success?
I'd be interested to hear in what type of detecting style or niche you think it excells in, and how do you go about deciphering the different models, there seems to be loads of variations?

TNSS and Paul CA have been using that detector (version 6 I believe).----You could try getting ahold of them or perhaps they will see your question here.-------Del

I think they are great machines, Some of the controls are not what we are use to seeing mainly the names of them, But in certain areas of detecting the Blisstool is a very good machine for deep relics etc,

I'm currently using the v6, my third Blisstool. For West Coast, and my type of hunting the v-6 does well. And is currently my deepest VLF for inland under most conditions, in extremely hot ground I'll switch to a Prospecting VLF and hunt with all metal. But under most conditions, hands down the v6 is great.

Most user's will be intimated with all the knobs, it's auctally a simple machine to operate. With the v6, one can operate with a fast recovery in trashy or iron sites or for depth operate in regular mode with as high gain the ground allows.

Very pleased with my Bliss, can't wait for the next version but until then I'm hanging onto my v6.

I have a V6 Blisstool.

I use it occassionally,,,but need to get more time with it this winter.

Super dry here,,to be digging deep.

Not a hard unit to run.

Probably hardest thing to get used to is " no pinpoint" feature,,,meaning you have to X the target.

Not shabby in iron,,,if set up correctly,,,,is it a Deus??? Nope

Depth is its strongest suit,,,even in my ground (measures 4 bars using Fisher F75).

Even the smaller 7x9 coil is deep.

I wouldn't recommend this detector for a one detector kinda deal for all hunting,,,,better maybe as a clean up machine in my ground--- in hotter ground moreso.

Machine can even be set off of optimum and it will still get some good depth.

Unit does have some useful discrimination that can be employed where modern trash exists.

To me unit handles a tad better ergonomically with smaller coil vs stock coil.

EMI wise I would rate average at handling vs comparing to what other detector's I've run.

Even at 0 gain with turbo on,,,,detector is deep,,,my 10" nickel blast through nicely even with 7x9" coil in my soil.

Battery system seems to be real good,,provides very ample field time,,,don't think you can run run down in a full days hunt even in turbo.

Based on videos I have watched,,,don't expect to be able to run higher gain unless soil is milder.

In my area a setting of 2 is about as far as I can go most places.

Unit does comes with a good warranty.

I have no experience with the bigger than stock coil.

Hopefully I can get even some more time in with my unit,,,,have a lot of detectors,,,and as some know,,,,the Deus fascinates me most it seems.

I love the Bliss. Deep as hell and great target separation. Sturdy build, long lasting battery. I have been hunting a super trashy site lately with the v6 and have been somewhat successful in ore mode. They are very sensitive to small targets as well. Pinpointing is easy and once you learn the machine you can tell if you have a coin under the coil or something else. The discrimination is awesome as you can disc out a aluminum can if you want! Not really recommended for beginners, but very easy to learn if you know what you're doing. Good in EMI using the frequency knob and listening for the flutter to smooth out.

When you say small targets how small is small ?, I should imagine that it is good on Silver, That's quite a nice frequency even more so for coins and relic..

I don't think there has ever been a totally bad detector, they are all good and make their owners happy and that is all that matters,

The Blisstool is not for me only because of my detecting needs, because of all the Coils I now have I have finally got my detector doing what I want 100% of the time.

Like it or Not, The Blisstool impressive beast So what is not to like, Theres no Bad detectors, just bad users.

I think if you had the time to invest learning then the blisstool v6 would be fantastic, there's a few decent coils for covering most bases as well.
I'd love to try one out before buying though.

I am currently a Deus user but have hunted with other detectors (V3i, CZ3d, AT Pro, etc). I bought a Blisstool V3 and set about learning how to detect a dime at 12" with the 11 inch coil. After I familiarized myself with its operation, I was shocked at how clearly the Bliss detected the dime at 12 inches. I tried it at different parks around the city as I am primarily a park hunter and the Bliss beeped loudly and consistently every time over that 12 inch deep dime. I haven't tested the limits of the machine as I believe 12 inches for dimes is a good limit for coins at the old parks I hunt.

I found several deep old coins with the Bliss this past Summer. I am back to the Deus as i search for gold jewelry but sometime this Fall I intend to give the Bliss another go.

Yes, I know that people don't hunt parks with the Bliss. I am a park hunter and have been for over 5 years now so I know my way around trash.

like percussion cap size. I also saw my buddy pull up a very petite gold ring with the 15 inch coil in a trashy area in the woods. very impressed.
