And a jackhammer to dig with.

Tough out there for detecting, at least for me.

David it did put a shut down on us for sure. Just think about the ones up north, those hunters are down till green up our time. We should be able to get back out in a week or so I'm hoping. Been a while sense Bill and I have been out together but that is due to work and not the weather.

Times like these are made for new research and Maprika maps lol. Stay warm and HH when it does come back.

Lol, I like to buy mainly US and Canadian products, and I just bought some of those 6x3 hand warmer gizmo's from the US, my Canada Goose Snow Mantra Parka should of came with a pair of the warmers and it has pockets near your kidney's to hold them, It has been below freezing on and off since before Christmas so I will be using my cold weather gear more and more if this keeps up,

I know what you mean about the jackhammer, I must be the only one over here that goes coin hunting with a Prospecting Pick,, I love winter and the Snow etc but it does mess with my Hobbie's.

I did venture into the woods this morning for a hour. Air temp. was showing 14 in the car. Woods digging is no problem and wind there little of a factor. Non the less, even with HOT HANDS hand warmer packs in each glove, I couldn't keep my finger tips from getting numb. Otherwise, was dressed for it and not to bad. 4 Memorials and a clad dime for my efforts. Heat wave coming next week, though. HH jim tn

John those Hot Hands are great for this time of year. Sounds like you got the body warmers. I like the toe warmers due to the sticky side for gloves, I can stick it to the top inside of my glove. Stays in place and does the trick.

Jim you got it bad bud lol. Stay safe over that way

Yeah Tom, I bought the Genuine American ones, by Heat Wave, they are the Heat Wave XT's, I tested them and they get to about 133*f or a bit more, or 55*c-60*c and they last for about 2 and a half hours which is good I think I paid about $60.00 USD for 4 of them so I bought 2 lots of them, I just thought that I could slide one between the cover and my detector housing on real cold days I and sure that would help a bit.

David, when you decide to come dome or we come out to see you I will leave a Nautilus with you for a while to play around with. You may like it.

You try it out first and if you like it, we will work something out. Tom used it on one of our outings and he caught on to it pretty quick, I don't like the air test on them, but i dug a cuff button at 13 inches. Pretty deep when you have the ground balance dialed in. I have 2 of them and the way Jerry built them they are pretty much identical. Both pretty much look brand new, but that's the way I buy them.

John the ones we spoke of last longer than that and price is .99 cents for a pack of 2.

Hit me up on PM the next time you need some and I'll send some up your way. Not sure on customs and mailing but we'll figure it out as long as they allow.
