What is your view on the White's?

Detector Pro pistol probe is one that works just off the tip. I don't know about others. I use a Deteknix X Pointer and it gets the job done for me.

I prefer the type that detect at the end of the shaft as well as the tip, but off the tip the White's TRX is a good one and deep.

In function and build quality, I would not recommend the Pistol Probe. The TRX is a much better option if you want a deep, off the tip pinpointer.

I have been very happy with the performance of the Whites TRX.---I replaced the Garrett with the Whites TRX shortly after it first came out & have never been sorry for doing so.

TRX is a great product.
After replacing Garrett on TRX, I do not cut the shovel any purpose.
Localization nose is a very good idea.
Just find the target without problems in the sidewall of the hole.
And the depth of his in the fourth mode, the level of metal detectors ...

Your English is fine vfp7 and thank you for your response.

I haven't had any problems with Garrett's pinpointers. I now use the Carrot ant it works fine.

I used to use the original Garrett pro pointer but recently started using the Nokta pinpointer. The Nokta seems to be deeper and much more stable in my soil. My Garrett was always falsing.

I only owned one Garrett, it does false a lot in my soil, and tends to be beep on the sides more then I like, I'm sure many have had it work ok, but it will be my spare only..thanks again.

Don't buy a used Garrett....they will charge to fix if not under warranty...buy new and they will usually replace...funny animal some run and run while other keep going down..
Good unit if working....

I like my TRX. I have it on vibrate only, 3rd sensitivity setting level and it does great for me. I can cancel the ground signal when I need to, and detune over targets as needed. Can run on AA or 9-volts. And has a replaceable shell if you wear out your tip.

I like it as much as I like my Sunray Inlines.

Mike--That's my thoughts EXACTLY on the TRX (almost to the word)!-----Also, I use a 9v in the TRX and I carry a spare 9v on my person when using the 9v operated detectors.----That way, should either the pinpointer or detector battery run down while hunting---just pop the spare in & keep on truckin.----You could do the same thing with the TRX with AA alkalines if your detector uses them.
