Keith Southern....."down the barrel" question.

Keith-----You have done a LOT of tests and put out a lot of great videos--we really appreciate them.-----You have said that if a detector/coil combo can't pass the "down the barrel" test (on a zinc or I.H.) that you dismiss it for working in iron.-----You've also said that there is more detector/coil combos that can pass this test now than there was a few years ago.------Ok, here's the question: Would you give us a list of detector/coil combos that has passed this difficult down the barrel test with using a LARGE nail?-----Results that you are satisfied with for iron work.-------Thanks---------------Del

I have alot of videos on that test on purpose for different detectors..

Most tesoros with 180 disc and stock concentric will pass..!

T2 with small coil will especially snake..

GMP with 5 inch DD

MakNoks with small DD

Most if not all of the DeepTechs with small round DD

Whites Classic 3 idx too 600 coil and 800 coil

AT-Pro with sniper..

xterra 705 with 6 dd HF

Compass Gold scanner with small coil

more but usually you need a small coil..USUALLY LOL..Tesoro is exception..and Tejon is Awesome on it...big coil no problems..

Hey Keith, there you are!-----Don't forget the F-19/G2+ with the Snake coil.-----They actually did a wee bit better than my T2C in 2+ tone with Snake on my down the barrel test with a large nail (although very close).----It is nice being able to turn the iron volume down just a tad on the F-19/G2+ which you can't do on the T2C.------Also, the T2C sure does overload a lot more in those tests (or on any shallow target).-----I guess that can be either good or bad depending on how you look at it.----------Del

Yes, those Compadres are nice little machines Randy.------Patsy I got our two grandsons each a Compadre a year ago.-----The first thing I did was show them how well they handled iron (nails).----------Del
