New site = a few firsts and my oldest large cent

Got permission to hunt a new to me field, it's about 50 acres. I was using G2+ an got a 1802 large cent, eagle I button and a 1863 our army civil war token. My girlfriend was using her F44 and dug an unidentifiable large copper then a 1749 1 reale. We also found pieces of white lead and shards of brass and a few whatzits. From what I found about the site it was part of an old town from 1710-1850s it's just all fields now. Supposedly George Washington stayed at a house about a mile from here house is still standing and was built in 1713. Were hoping to get permission to detect around this house also. Take your finds / phone camera to a well lit window sill.
If you 'tap' gently on the screen it can help brighten the shot (does on mine)

Nice to find...some of the oldest US coins in the ground in Jersey area....pre US also.

Sand dog, what was the soil like....clay, sand or a mix? Was it a crop field, maybe tomatoes?

Not so much your camera as your lighting. You can do it under a desk lamp if you use a daylight LED bulb (or adjust white balance to indoor setting for incandescent bulb).

Got a chance to go again today after work for an hr and a half. Took the deus this time with HF coil running 15khz. Got a toasted large copper, small button and some kind of fork looking thing. This is from a different spot on field. Thanks
