Seems Stu left his mark, a good one too.

My condolences to his friends and family.

I'm awfully sorry to hear about his passing.
He had a wonderful sense of humour and I had the pleasure of being in his company for an entire weekend, Friday thru Monday in 'Lovech', Bulgaria in May 2013, where he played a role as advisor to the fledgeling members of the ECMD (European Council for Metal Detecting) It's bittersweet really because Trevor Austin and Prof. Norman Palmer were also present and instrumental in the process both now also deceased.
Both men played huge parts in the NCMD (the UK National Council of Metal Detecting)

We arrived to the venue late in the evening (11.30pm) and dinner was still on and I literally 'bumped into' Stu at the front door as he went out and we came in!
He had on a really colorful striped shirt, colorful suspenders and was very animated while goofing off and I first thought that he was a musician at the event!!! But I recognised his accent quickly and introduced myself to him and we had a great laugh at how I had mixed him up as a performer!!!

Rest in Peace 'Stu'

The showroom in Winter Park really is MD porn. Living in the area I stop in every so often. He really was an American entrepreneur and pioneer. RIP

I bought a couple Whites detectors from Kellyco back in the early 70s. I talked to him personally about the detectors over the phone, and he spent as much time as I wanted answering questions. Things were more personal back then.
RIP, Stu.
