Can the XP GMP hold a place with the New Machines

on the release ?? I have been using this machine in trashy areas and iron littered areas and it does pull out the non ferrous amongst nails and little iron. No meter is what has been killing me. I just purchased a Rutus Alter 71 and haven't received it yet. My question is ; Does anyone think the GMP can still hold a place with the new released units on the market ?? Does it do anything better or different than what is now coming along. I don't know whether to send it on its way or stick it back in the corner as a specific niche machine.
Just not sure. The lack of a meter is just a killer.

The power can hold it's own. The one I had could not handle my minerals in central Virginia.
